visited for the first time last week and will definitely be returning, So lovely to eat tasty italian food beyond pizzas and spag bol! Menu was fabulous and the only problem was that it was hard to choose what to order!

Excellent service and good value for money.

Fish dishes are Dinos (THE CHEF) speciality as he won a top fish dish in a Michelin Star (Edinburgh) restaurant photo on the wall. Many other favourite dishes available such as Tagliatelles, Steak, Pork done in his own style Chicken to die for, the fish cake starters done in a Polenta sauce are mouth watering as are the Mussels as a starter or main. Desserts are not for me but look delicious and he makes his own ice cream. Overall a very satisfying experience. Staff are very helpful and sommelier Graham will advise you expertly on which wine to complement your meal. Pre theatre is available at 10.95 for three courses Closed on Mondays.

We were tipped off about this restaurant due to a slight connection as friends of the owner/chef. So we opted to go on a saturday night with a few problems finding it as mr tom tom was playing up. Anyway we were 30 mins late but it wasnt a problem. We were kindly seated and given an appertif as a gesture from the chef. We were told the specials by the waiter who was very confident in the manner he was speaking. So between the four of us we order 2 starters but that was for guys on the table as the girls were giving it the "diet chat" anyway, the boy next to me opted for the house speciality chicken wings which he said were delightful. I however always go for the house antipasto as its good to see their adaption on it. It was superb, the croutons on it were home made clearly, the olives fresh, the meats finely sliced as if they were sliced before being placed on the wooden board aswell as a few pesto garnishes. Thoroughly enjoyed the antipasto. The two girls are not the biggest of meat eaters so they asked if they could have a pasta this wasn't a problem either and they were both happy with their penne carbonara but i thought i'd go for fish as that's what the chef is famous for. I asked the waiter what he thought was best and he said to go for the hake, it was my first time ever eating it but it was sublime. The other chap opted for a pasta aswell he was happy with it but yet again the diet chat started so we had to finish off the girls dinner. Dessert time came around and i opted for one of my favourites Tiramisu, whilst the rest chose home made ice cream served unusually on seperate ramequins. The meal was lovely but the only let down was the Tiramisu it wasn't to my liking but i ate and the other chaps ice creams were lovely.

All in all i will definitely be going back to La Famiglia in the near future for another delightful meal. Easily one of my favourites in Glasgow at the moment.

Firstly, I'm not a relative, but been around the Glasgow food scene for a very long time. A couple had invited us there for a meal two weekends ago. Food was fabulous!! You can see this young man and his team put a lot of effort into making food taste brilliant.
You can see minor areas where they will get better at, but overall for a first time venture in this climate, this is a very brave and talented chef. You should try it. You will be on this trip advisor making some comments better than my own.
