“Exceptional value for money”
Reviewed October 30, 2013

Stayed here last Sunday night on their Retail Therapy Package at £99 for myself and my wife this was inclusive of a 3 course dinner and breakfast. We arrived mid afternoon and the reception staff were very welcoming and we were efficiently and pleasantly advised of our room, which proved to be large and spotlessly clean. 2 very comfortable chairs and TV, fridge and all the usual tea making facilities.
The bar/lounge area was comfortable and afternoon tea sandwiches etc were very reasonable.
The bonus to the whole deal was the evening meal, this was 3 course with a more than adequate selection and the breakfast which was buffet style which catered for every taste from cereal and fruit to full scottish breakfast or kippers.
I didn't use the pool, but it certainly looked attractive
The only downside is the location as it is in the old warehouse district and certainly from the lower floors there is restricted views, but this a small price to pay for the excellent service and it's general comfort .

Stayed at Menzies, Glasgow last weekend. This is an excellent hotel and would like to complement the staff, they were great, especially the waiting staff in the restaurant, they looked after us well and nothing was a bother. Definitely would recommend this hotel.

This was my second visit to this hotel with a coach party from Belfast.. We were welcomed by a team of very friendly, helpful, well organised staff and settled in rooms swiftly. All rooms were very clean and well presented. Excellent team of attentive restaurant staff of mixed nationalities who served delicious meals with a smile and nothing was too much trouble to accommodate. Having the option of leisure facilities is a pleasant feature. Well worth a visit! Only downside was that the room window didn't open for ventilation. Hope to return on next visit to Glasgow.

Had a 2 night special,Frid/Sat night with one night evening dinner. Certainly value for money as the food was superb as was the room. Lovely swimming pool which we used both mornings. The staff were excellant , polite and very helpful. Not all Polish but English, Scots,French and Italian as well, a very good mix.A girl in the restaurant was Polish but she had left her Irish husband at home!!!
Will go back.

This was our first destination in Scotland after flying in and renting a car and DRIVING. We arrived at the Menzies and pulled up to the entrance parking. We most have looked so frazzled (or they decided to preform a public service) that the hotel staff let us stay in the place we pulled in for the 3 days we were in Glasgow and at the Menzies. The room was clean and spacious. Modern décor was the only disappointment. The front staff continued to be excellent and answered every question with ease and grace. We ate several meals in the room off the lobby by the bar and the servers were excellent and the food very good, We also ate at the restaurant at the hotel every morning for breakfast; it was also very good. Hotel felt safe and was a convenient walk to where we wanted to go downtown.
