I stayed here with my partner in August. This hotel was lovely, great facilities available, clean rooms, air-con available, a lovely en-suite bathroom, there was a fridge in my room which I wasn't expecting, and a lovely reception/bar area at the front of the hotel. We didn't visit the spa or restaurant area but I would definitely return to do so.
A few slight moans - (sorry!) - the air-con was brilliant but my partner and I awoke at around 4am sweating as it was far too hot! I'm not sure if the air-con switches off during the night, but it wasn't a pleasant experience as the windows don't open either. The 'double' room was actually 2 single beds pushed together. Just a few wee things to be aware of as I've seen others say the same.
All in all, I'd love to return and try out all of the facilities in the future as we did thoroughly enjoy our stay. Thank you.

Hand up from the start, this is my favourite Glasgow hotel so it's hard not to show a little bias. That aside we enjoyed yet another great 3 night stay. As I probably mentioned in a previous review the fabric of the building is now beginning to show signs of a lack of investment but it still remains a comfortable and well equipped hotel. This time our room was ok, maybe not quite as nice as on previous visits but still very acceptable. The leisure club has certainly improved since our last visit and is now spotless. The hotel staff at the Menzies are exceptional and once again we enjoyed excellent service. Special mention to Kirsten and Brian at reception who were fantastic. We look forward to returning.

Room Tip: Pay the little extra for an executive double or an apartment, they are worth it.

We stayed two nights at Menzies in Glasgow. We enjoyed the hotel very much, the staff was very friendly and helpful. The only problem was that we were there on the weekend when they don't have all their staff positions filled. We had three problems that could not be addressed because the staff needed didn't work on the weekend. The room was very hot, we couldn't open a window and the on/off switch on the ac/heater unit was broken off so we couldn't even turn it off. The toilet stopped up, the desk personnel attempted to fix it but it never worked well. We wanted to use the safe but the person with the key didn't work on the weekend. Other than that, we really enjoyed the Menzies and it was an easy walk to downtown and the pedestrian street.

I've stayed in other Glasgow city centre hotels that aren't a patch on this gem !! The staff are really good and friendly and Scottish which is as it should be. Comfy beds, quiet room, got the best nights sleep in a long time !! Good breakfast set us up for the onward 4hr journey. I don;t hesitate to recommend and we will stay here again and again for our stopover on the way to visit my son in the high Highlands

We stayed here for three nights and were very impressed. The family room was lovely and spacious with two comfortable double beds. Rooms were very warm but there was a thermostat for you to change the temperature. The staff were very friendly and helpful. When we arrived the kids were given a welcome pack and a wrist band which entitled them to get free juice from reception whenever they wanted and also one free ice cream each. My kids loved this and certainly got their share of free juice! The swimming pool was great with towels provided. The restaurant staff were lovely and made my children feel very welcome. We originally only planned to eat their one night but liked it so much we ate there twice. the food was lovely. The buffet breakfast was amazing with plenty of choices for everyone. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again.

We have just enjoyed an extremely pleasant long weekend at the Menzies hotel in Glasgow. The staff bent over backwards to help make our stay comfortable. We took our family including our grandchildren and nothing was to much trouble for this hotel. The rooms were spacious and very clean, the family rooms were more than adequate for a family of four. For our requirements at the SECC this hotel was perfectly located and just a walk into town. We have stayed in a number of hotels around the world and we honestly believe this hotel sets a fine standard for Britain. Our special thanks to Paulina and Sarah in the restaurant. We are definitely booking for next year. Thank you from David & Tina.
