Stayed here for dinner, bed and breakfast offer which was good value for money. Our rooms were spacious, clean and beds were cosy and comfortable. Food was good - had ours in lounge bar as we were going to a show at SECC. Service was very fast which suited us. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Made use of the leisure facilities the next morning which was very enjoyable.
Only negative comment I would make is that the street is not very fitting for a four star hotel.

Myself and 2 friends and there mum were here for a girls weekend one of my friends and myself have been to the hotel a few times before and love it the other two are now hooked to, From check in to check out the staff can't do enough for you , As for the food it's lovely as my two friends are the fussy kind but they both loved it, we all had a nice chillax in the spa too, Will definitely be back soon.... Well done to all staff

This was my 2nd visit and the level of service was equally good both times. The price of the room wasn't much more than Premier Inn or other budget chains, but it has a pool, sauna and better bar and restaurant facilities.
The staff are all efficient and friendly, so it's a joy to stay there.

This was our third visit to the Menzies and the first when we have travelled up by train.Previously we have used it as a stopping off point on the way to the North of Scotland by road and chose it originally because it is convenient to the motorway and the city centre and has cheap secure parking. The hotel is just as accessible from Central Station.
On all of our visits we have found the staff to be friendly, the breakfast and brasserie food of a good standard and the rooms very comfortable.
It also has swimming pool and sauna, sky sports and free wi-fi.

Just back from a lovely weekend at the Menzies hotel. This was our 2nd visit to the hotel and definitely won't be the last. The location of the hotel is great, very close to the shopping area on Argyll Street and within walking distance of the SECC. We were allocated a twin room on the third floor and it was lovely, had everything we needed to make us comfy on our stay. A 3 course meal on our first night was also included in the deal and the food that we ordered was excellent. All of the staff were very friendly to us, nothing was too much bother. My mum has difficulty walking and when we went to the restaurant they always ensured that we got a table close to the door so she didn't have to walk too far. I enjoyed using the leisure facilities as well, it was a nice way to relax. Looking forward to the next visit!

Just back from a week-end at the Menzies Hotel and from our arrival on the Friday to leaving on the Sunday we found the overall service very good indeed. Reception was welcoming upon arrival, our room was most comfortable, spacious and clean. Little things like a fridge, two chairs, table, ice bucket, sky sports gave this room the edge on others that we have stayed in. Our package included an evening meal, which was first class. If one had to find fault then service was a little too quick in the evening, but we found at breakfast with a very busy restaurant they needed to to be quick in clearing tables and keeping the food coming. Breakfast we also rated well, a good selection of both hot and cold food with excellent service. We also found the leisure facilities very good. The hotel is well situated for the centre of Glasgow and easily accessed by car from the motorway. The special weekend package we were on represented excellent value for money and with the high standard of service and food we will be back again.

Secure car parking for only £4 a day, bus stops outside hotel for easy access for those wishing to take the bus. Only a ten/fifteen minute walk to city centre and twenty five minutes for the SECC. River Clyde two minutes walk from the hotel.

Stayed for 2 nights, Location of hotel really good. The hotel is very clean, staff were all helpful and very pleasant and welcoming. We were delighted with our room (508) very large with 2 double beds, great powerful shower in bathroom, There was an ironing board and iron which was great. I am glad I didn't take my hairdryer as there was a great one in the room.
It was evident the hotel ensures there is more than the minimum of staff on duty to deliver a great service, especially in dining room. We got a good deal which was 2 night B n B and one evening meal (3 course) included in price. If you were eating outwith the deal, a 2 course was £19.95 or 3 course for £21.95. This is very good value as the quality of food and presentation was really really lovely. I do have a gripe at the over attentive staff though! It would be good if they could allow the guests time to read the menu before coming over to take the order - literally got the menu in our hands and within 2 minutes they were over asking for your order. Did not have to wait for our meal, however, I hadn't even taken one bite of my starter and staff were over asking if everything was ok - which, yes, that is lovely but maybe let us taste the food first. We both really enjoyed our meal, staff were again maybe too attentive - not sure if they were trying to hurry us on but took away my plate while I was still eating? Don't get me wrong, the staff were lovely but think their timing could be slowed down just a wee bit before clearing plates away.We had our 3 course meal and out of dining room in 55 minutes!! Breakfast the first morning was - mayhem!. However, I will take some blame for it as we did not go until 9.30am (finishes at 10am) but think most of hotel decided to go at that time which meant there was a queue to get in for breakfast for a start and then once in and seated there were queues for the cooked buffet. There was a notice in the lifts saying that it gets busy after 9am so will take some blame. However, for the size of the hotel and the amount of guests the area for the buffet breakfast (cooked) is very small which caused long queues, I had never seen such a small area for cooked breakfasts in such a large hotel. There was a great selection however, cereals, fruit juices, yoghurt, fresh fruit, usual cooked bacon, sausages etc etc as well as croissants, toast etc. The quality again was really good and plenty of choice. I did notice one staff member come and check the temp of food with probe which was nice to see.
There were plenty of pillows (which I like) and the bed was really comfortable.
We had a look at the pool which was a good size but unfortunately we did not use but looked inviting.
Would we return - without a doubt - really enjoyed our stay.
The only thing I would recommend would be staff to give guests time in the dining room when choosing from menu and clearing plates away.
