Please check out my other reviews for exceptional service from this hotel, however on this occasion....
Flew in late to Glasgow, arrived just too late for Bo'Vine so had a choice, chip shop nearby or Terrace Bar menu. Made a bad choice.
Ordered triple cooked chips then asked for the Angus burger with added cheese and bacon. This took over 20 minutes to arrive. When it did, the plate was also piled high with French fried as well as the chips. The excuse was 'I thought you wanted both' although didn't bother to ask. Cheese and Bacon were also missing, which when alerted was asked 'shall I take it back' too late in evening to fight took my food to my room. Upon opening the burger was presented with the sight you see in the picture.
Worst part of this was staff response on checking out 'oh we're very sorry sir' that was it! No offer of taking it off the bill or even vouchers or money off for next visit. Service opportunity definitely missed.
Got to do better Hilton!

Ps poached eggs still top notch from chef David (seen other review of this hotel)

Located on the outskirts of the City centre, I stayed at the Hilton Grosvenor on business for one night before a snow storm came in!
The hotel is from an era gone by, an imposing building modernised to provide a comfortable stay for either business or pleasure travellers.
I didn't have dinner there, my colleagues and I went out to one of the many local restaurants in the area. But breakfast was good lots of variety for both a traditional Scottish breakfast or the more European style.
The room was functional with all the expected equipment. Minor issue was a lack of view from my window, depending on how you view looking across rooftops.

All in all happy to stay again and would bwu happy to recommend

The best thing about this hotel is the fantastic location in Glasgow's west end. Decor and room appointment is good but a little "cold" in ambience. Sleep quality was not great - walls are paper thin and you can clearly hear your neighbours as well as doors opening/closing. Breakfast was ok, staff were very pleasant & helpful. For the money, its nothing spectacular. All told, average.

Stayed here during a business trip to Glasgow. The hotel was furnished to a high standard, and met all of my expectations of the Hilton chain. The location is great for the West End. If you get the opportunity, dine in the Bovine restaurant.
