“Excellent Stay”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 20, 2012

My husband & I stayed at this Premier Inn for six nights from 29th September. This was our first visit to Glasgow & what a wonderful surprise this city is. The hotel is situated very close to the centre so is conventiently placed for sightseeing. There is a large car park at the front with an overspill car park at the rear. It is protected by a security barrier with automatic access on entry. When leaving, a four-figure code must be obtained from reception and entered on a keypad.

All rooms at this Premier Inn have showers rather than baths. We requested one with a wet room and were lucky to be allocated what we wanted. There is a lift from the reception area to all floors. The rooms are quiet, very comfortable and recently decorated and have the advantage of large wall-mounted flat screen TVs. We were able to order newspapers each day which we collected in reception.

There is an excellent restaurant within the hotel situated at the front off the reception area. Breakfast (full English only) is taken there and evening meals as well. We ate in every evening. The menu was varied and reasonably priced so we didn't bother to go out on the town looking for alternative eateries. There is a well stocked bar adjacent. The staff are all friendly, efficient & helpful.

We hope to return to Glasgow in the future and will certainly use this Premier Inn again.

Room Tip: Our room was on the 3rd floor, facing the road, number 319. We recommend it.

Booked for a night on the 14th October as we were going to see kevin bridges. To start with we got the room for £19 online and also booked for breakfast. From the moment we arrived the hotel and staff exceeded our expectations.Ann Marie at the checkin desk was both friendly and extremely helpfull,we were in room 338 at the end of the corridor. The size of the room was the first thing we noticed as it was very large and spacious. The room was extremely clean and comfortable and also had a large flat panel tv on the wall. The beds were extremely comfortable as well. The breakfast in the morning was decent as well, there was a large selection from a full English to a continental. We will definitely be booking again for when we are in Glasgow for a night out.

Pleasant, friendly staff and good food both at breakfast and in evenings. Rooms spacious and with very comfortable beds, and lastly my main bugbear in most hotels - cleanliness but every where exceptionally clean, even behind bathroom door! Elizabeth

Have tended to stay at Travelodges due to the availablity of family rooms but have tended to find them somewhat less than comfortable. Now with the kids at University we have moved back to using Premier Inns.

This Premier Inn is excellent. The room had been refurbished and was both comfortable and pleasant. We didnt use the restaurant as we spent most of our days sightseeing and eating out so can't comment on the hotels breakfasts or dinners. However the staff were friendly and helpful.

The hotel is an ideal base for sightseeing in the city centre and has the advantage, as others have said, of the free secure parking. Would definately use again when I'm next in Glasgow.

Stayed here to break up an otherwise very long drive. The lady who checked me in (Margaret, October 5th @ 5pm) was excellent and is a credit to the hotel.
The room was large, clean and had everything I needed.
Dinner and breakfast were good. Free, secure parking is great.
Hotel is in a great location and if booked early is incredible value.
Highly recommended.
