Great customer service; friendly staff, very comfortable and clean room. Lovely atmosphere around the bar area in the evening. Didn't appear to be many restaurants within close walking distance if you didn't want to eat at the hotel. Great location for the O2 Academy.

We stayed for a night in June. Everything was busy because of a Take That concert. The hotel is slightly out of the way but the reception was good, we had a good value dinner, the rooms were quite large and comfortable and the breakfast exceptionally good value. Recommended.

This is the second time we have stayed in the Premier Inn Glasgow City Centre South and we are going back again in 3 days! The rooms are spacious and comfortable, even including a couch. Although there are no baths, that doesn't bother us - we prefer showers anyway. The rooms are kept spotlessly clean and tidy. The windows open, if like me, you like fresh air - some hotel rooms can be so stuffy. And there is plenty of free parking. It is only a 10 or 15 minute walk into the city centre. My only complaint is that no feather pillows are offered. Premier Inn promote their Good Night Guarantee, but for me, a comfortable pillow is paramount to a good night's sleep, so I always take my own to the Premier! My husband didn't on this occasion, and consequently, didn't sleep well! On asking at Reception if they could supply feather pillows, we were told this isn't an option. The only negative in an otherwise fantastic excellent value for money chain of hotels. We stay at the Marriott quite regularly as well, and other than less chintzy decor, the Premier matches them easily!

Very friendly service and also very efficient. Rooms were very good and clean. Food both in the morning and evening was good. Check out was very quick and no problems at all. It was also a quiet area so no noise so a good night sleep. All the staff were very friendly and helpful at all times. For the cost of the hotel and the service some of the larger hotels could certainly learn how to provide value for money with great service. The hotel is also close for the SSEC, airport and city centre just a short taxi ride away. If you want value for money, good food, quiet location and ease of access try this hotel.

Room Tip: It is better if you have a car but taxi from centm

We arrived at 11am after picking up a relative from Glasgow airport - it was so easy to find. My husband and I were staying in one room with our 2 children aged 4 & 7 and my Mother In Law was booked into another room. we had asked for adjoining rooms previous to our day of arrival. We arrived and our family room was ready even though check in was not til 3pm so we were able to put our bags into our room. the hotel had a lovely atmosphere, it was the day of the Royal Wedding, they had fun packs for the kids and flags around reception and the wedding on the TV in the seated area. when we came back at around 5 the other room was ready. It was ideal - we opened the adjoining door and the kids were able to go between rooms without annoying any other guests. The reception team were very friendly. Rooms were clean and tidy and spacious. We decided to stay for dinner at the hotel. it was a nightmare. We ordered wine before we ordered our food - it took 25 minutes for them to bring the wine. We then waited for them to take our food order. there was a wait of around 40 minutes between starter and main meal. It ended up taking over 2 hours for a 2 course meal. They forgot the bread and butter for my mother in law's fish and chips, even though they specifically asked if she would like some. I then had to ask them to take it off the bill. Got up in the morning - we were attending a wedding so thought we would stay for a buffet breakfast to set us up for the day. I got our kids sorted then went up for my own breakfast and everything had ran out apart from beans, had to wait around 10-15 minutes for sausage, bacon, egg, mushrooms and bread to be brought out. It is such a shame but it is like the chef is on a go slow. I felt the restaurant really let the hotel down.
