Reasonably priced (UKP10), run at lunchtime at the Oran Mor pub, it is an excellent opportunity to see a very good play while having a bite and a drink in a very friendly atmoshere.

“Culture and comfort”

Love Oran Mor/Traverse for Play Pie and Pint. Oran Mor is just fantastic. What a lovely way to spend a lunchtime. Short play and lovely juicy pie and a pint of beer or glass of wine. Fantastic pub and theatre. Traverse has a super restaurant and great venue for plays. Dinner, Dram and Drama worth doing as well.

“Wonderful concept”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 25, 2013

Have been here many times. Good value for money. Entertainment, food and drink all for £10 - £12. Lovely atmosphere. Plays can be of variable standard but very much recommend this as a good way to spend a lunch hour.

“An absolute winner”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 25, 2013

Have been meaning to go for ages but it took a mate buying tickets for the panto to get me down the stairs one lunchtime. Well worth it. The panto was an absolute hoot (well, it was written by and starred Dave Anderson) - the cast of four must have been exhausted! Just the right length to have averyone screaming for more. We opted for the quiche and wine option rather than the pie and pint - West End pseuds that we are - but the pie and pint looked inviting as well. Will now definitely get mysedlf organised to see some of the upcoming attractions.

“Something Different”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 19, 2013 via mobile

This is a novel idea and definitely worth a visit. We were in Glasgow for a long weekend and this was one of the highlights. For £10 it is good value for money and if your not a fan of pies and pints you can opt for wine and quiche instead. One thing I did find strange was that the show was sponsored by Heineken yet this beer was not included in the offer- strange but no biggie as there was a good choice of beer. The venue is located opposite the botanic gardens which is ideal if you fancy walking off the pie and pint afterwards! Overall this is something unique and well worth experiencing if you are in town. One minor quibble I would have would be the acoustics which could be a little better.
