Went to this restaurant on a deal. 2 Mains, flat bread and rice for £12. No licence so brought our own bottle. Corkage was £3.95 per bottle. What a bargain. Meal was superb, beautiful chunks of really tender lamb and succulent chicken in the tagines. Generous serving of flat bread and rice. Waitresses were very helpful, knowledgeable and friendly, So glad I bought 2 deals for this restaurant, cant wait to go back

We went here on a Glasgow Great Deal, 2 tagenes, rice and flat bread for £12, yes £12 !!! The staff were very pleasant and attentative but not in your face. We decided to have 1 lamb and 1 chicken which was a good decision. The rice came in the shape of a pyramid, very novel, both the lamb and chicken were both very tender and just broke away with a fork and the sauce was also great. We had book very early in the evening so the restaurant was just opened and so was a little cold. The food was excellent and the only gripe was the food did get a little cold quite quckly, maybe if the plates were warmed this would have helped. Overall we had a lovely meal and will go back again.

My partner and I went to Nur on Saturday, 4th January and had a lovely meal. Prior to Christmas I bought a deal for 2 tagines, rice and flatbreads. We arrived at approx 7pm and we were the only ones in the restaurant. First impressions were very good. The decor was very Egyptian and had a nice cosy feeling about it. We were greeted by a lovely waitress who was very pleasant and asked us where we would like to sit, upstairs or downstairs. We choose upstairs in the mezzanine with lovely comfy seats and low tables. She then came and lit some candles to give the place a nicer feel. The food arrived within 15 minutes and was great with fabulous flavours. I had the chicken and spinach tagine and my partner had the lamb and potato tagine. The service was great without being over friendly or pushy. By the time we left there were another 3 couples in and the place seemed to be getting busier however this is probably due to the time of year and I have heard this place can get very busy at times. Before we left we were asked to leave our email address so that they could send us offers or any upcoming deals direct to our email. All in all we will definitely return and hopefully we get booked when he belly dancers are there which is the last Saturday of every month.

This was my first visit and I wasn't disappointed. We arrived at 8:30 and pleasantly surprised by the decor and atmosphere. The belly dancer was brilliant and added to the overall experience. We waited over an hour for our starters. And when they finally arrived, they were delicious. We then waited over 40 minutes for our mains... But they were worth the wait. DELICIOUS!!!! And your rice is served in the shape of a pyramid. Due to our lengthy wait, we got our drinks for free. The waitress did explain why we had to wait so long for our food.......
I would go back here and would recommend it. No alcohol is sold but you can bring your own and pay corkage. Enjoy

The next time that you fancy a curry when out then think again and treat yourself to cracking alternative -- Egyptian ! Absolutely delicious food and good value for money - also a BYOB (£3.95 corkage)- and a very handy Spar right across the road. Gillian, our waitress was very friendly and attentive and looked after us really well. Don't be put off by the restaurant's location, it is'nt in the fashionable West End but this is a gem of a place. Will certainly return and would highly recommend. I would also say if you happen to be going to a gig in the O2 Academy then this is the place to start off your night.... it made our Barenaked Ladies gig an even better night out !
