Description: Situated on Mitchell St, Barolo Grill is two minutes walk from Central Station, Queen Street Station and the Buchanan St Underground Station. Ideal for a business lunch in one of our comfortable booths, celebrations and large parties, graduations and even just to take the weight off your feet while shopping with a well earned glass of Prosecco. The clue is in the name, as they say - and Barolo Grill is no exception. We pride ourselves on our top quality Scottish steaks, meats and seafood, cooked to perfection, and served with a contemporary Italian touch. Our extensive wine list offers the best in Italian varietals, and of course a superb selection of Barolo wines. We also specialise in superb focaccia and pizza, baked in our traditional Italian pizza oven and topped with fresh ingredients.

This restaurant is without doubt the best Italian restaurant I have been to.The service : friendly and know everything about meals on menu and if undecided only to willing to help you choose or adjust to your taste. The meals that myself, wife and parents have had have been superb, but don't go for special lunch tasters but treat yourself to full menu.
So if in Glasgow give it a try YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED.
See you soon Barolo

“Great Meal”

There are many good Italian restaurants in Glasgow, I think this is my favorite.
Very nice surroundings staff always pleasant.
Nice wine and also offered a jug of tap water which is a good sign. Many other places try to impose expensive mineral water along with the wine. Shared the mixed seafood platter prawns, squid and scallops in a tempura batter - delicious. Focacia bread is also one of the best I've tried. Shin of beef was also delicious - melt in the mouth.
Highly recommended.

“Dissapointed again,overpriced average food”

This was our second visit on 30/12,the last time was just after the restaurant opened, then the starter was poor and the mains ok This time was the same, we picked from the special lunch menu, the starter of prawn in smoked salmon starter was poor and small in size, the mains of steak and sides were just ok,my partner had dessert and again it was ok I did not have any dessert, The price for this Special lunch including wine and supplements was just under SEVENTY POUNDS and we left hungry, we both agreed we would not return for a third visit, there are many better Italian restaurants in the city centre

“Very pleasant surprise”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 31, 2013

We stumbled upon Barolo as it was across the street from the flat we rented for Xmas, and were very pleased at our last minute choice. Despite being the Friday before Xmas, the manager found us a table quickly without a reservation. The service was excellent - well, this is Glasgow, what do you expect? and the food very good. Great crust on the pizza, tasty seafood pasta, and I had the special rainbow trout. Only comment on the trout was that it was supposed to be filleted, but actually came with skin and head (bones removed). A more squeamish customer (such as my wife) would have had trouble with that. It looked like a band was setting up, but unfortunately we had to leave. I'm not in Glasgow much these days, but will return here when next in town.
