We got given a complimentary stay at the Millennium as I put a lot of business their way and found it to be fantastic. Admittedly we did get put in a superior room, which was very large, but as well as that I thought the hotel was brilliant.

The check-in staff were very helpful and the whole of the entrance/bar/restaurant is well decorated and very tasteful. The same can be said for the rooms. Ours had a sofa, clothes room, desk, large tv, huge marble bathroom and massive bed. The only down side I would say is the room was a bit cold, but only probably because it was soooooo cold outside in Scotland in winter anyway.

Hotel is very centrally located for all the shops and there are a few nice bars in the nearby streets (we found the fish shop to be excellent).

Finally breakfast was amazing!!!!! All you could possibly want and more (too much for my belly).

Booked this hotel via hotelconnexions who I'd booked with few years back and once again we got a free room upgrade to a suite overlooking George Square. The room itself was immaculate and very well laid out with heaps of space. It had separate dressing area and luggage room. The furnishings and cleanliness was faultness.
You couldn't get more central if you tried and shops, bars and clubs all within few minutes walk away.
We were B&B and had a wide choice including continental and full english.
All in all, our stay was brilliant and would definitely go back - all that in a 4* hotel for £80 total you can't complain!

Perfectly located hotel in the centre of Glasgow, overlooking St George's Square - walking distance of department stores, designer stores, Merchant City, coffee bars, The Corinthian and train stations, City Tour buses - not forgetting Weatherspoon Counting House. Have stayed here at least twice a year for the last 5 years and found it's the best location if you want to do a little bit of everything in a 2 day stay!

I stayed at the Millenium hotel last week and had a ball. The rooms were small but adequate. I enjoyed dinner in the twilight and the staff were pleasant. The hotel is centrally located and easy to find ideal for a business trip. Glascow is a vibrant city with lots to do and see.

We arrived at the hotel for a weeks business trip. Although the reception area is lovely and modern, the rooms were outdated and dirty. The room was on the corner and had huge windows which had no net curtains and faced an office block. They left me feeling very exposed. Also the noise from the 2 main roads kept me awake all night. The beds were so uncormfortable and slopey I even managed to fall out at one point. Needless to say we all checked out the next day and went to the Marks Hotel instead.

We had an enjoyable stay. Our room faced the Square so we had a good view of the city. Our double room (414) was a good size, clean but basic - there was no fridge. A bit unfortunate as we had one of the warmest couple of days in Scotland and it would have been nice to have some cold drinks in store.

The staff were excellent, polite and were willing to assist in all our requests and queries ( travel advice, dining suggestions etc.)

It was our first time to Glasgow and the hotel was perfectly located as a base for exploring the city, shopping or travelling further afield - due to the proximity of Glasgow Queen Street rail station. That said, as our room faced front, we did not hear any of the noise from the station that some of the earlier reviews commented on.

The breakfast selection and quality was excellent. You could choose either self service buffet and there a good selection of hot or cold; or your could go a la carte - again a fair choice.

I agree that the hotel could do with a general spruce up but I'm glad that I was not put off by reading this before. I would return.

The first thing that strikes you with the Millennium is how great the location is. Everything is within walking distance so if you don't intend spending much time in your hotel, this place is great. We travelled with a baby so that wasn't really an option.

The rest, whilst not really bad enough to justifiably complain, left me a bit underwhelmed. The room was a great size, but views of the side entrance of the train station, and night time noise from imbibed late night passengers, didn't overly impress.

The service is very good. Waiters, concierge, reception were all attentive and polite and score well, but the hotel really just needs a decent spruce up if it wants to attract more clientele.

It has the location and the layout to be great, but just doesn't quite hit the mark.
