Booked a 3 -bedroom apartment for staying over after a wedding in west end of Glasgow. We had to pick up our keys from Cleveden Crescent, and then drive over to another part of town to where our actual apartments were. they were nothing like what was displayed on the website. the aprtment was modern and basic in every aspect. it was inconvenient being moved, and the apartment was not great. Won't be back

We welcome all reviews good and bad as we strive to improve our customer service.

We were disappointed to learn that you did not have an enjoyable stay with us here at The White House, sometimes due to unforseen circumstances we have to move our guests to different locations in the surrounding west end area however we always notify guests either by phone or email prior to arrival.

We do apologise if this was not the case.

We stayed here for 4 nights in a 2 bedroom unit off the garden. Several other family members stayed as well (one group in the forementioned room #9). None of us had any issues with either the facilities or the staff, Indeed my brother ans his wife were given a room with a bed that was a little too short for his 6 ft 3 in body and they were promptly moved to another room.
One evening we went out and Michael (the night manager) removed our clothes from the dryer and folded them as he knew we were going to be late. You can't get service much better then that!
All in all we really enjoyed our stay and would like to thank all of the staff for their hospitality.

We stayed here for one night in a 3 bed apartment. First impression was that the apartment was a bit dated but in reality it simply reflected the period of the overall property. Everything was immaculate and the beds really comfortable. The staff were great and very informative and the location was peaceful and perfect for our stay. We would definitely stay here again!

I will start with as a place to stay it is quite nice...has everything you would need and from all reports is quite large.

My friend booked he is a 25 year old Australian male, he booked for a further 4 of us about the same age.

On our second night we we're out until around 3.30am in did make some noise upon entering the building, we were barely up the stairs when some bloke came up knocking on the door... Bit strange to not be given a chance to settle but all in all fair enough. We did make a bit more noise before settling a received a 1st and final warning the next day....fair enough.

We received 3 more phone calls over the next 4 nights as soon as we got into the room our phone would ring with some lady having a go at us, after the first night we made no noise once in the apartment... We were in unit 9 right at the top which has creaky stairs and a creaky floor.. We were basically being held accountable for the place being 100 years old.

We received no warning of sorts to say after 10pm you can not move or you will get kicked out, I would of thought when a 25 year old male booked that would of been courtesy to say " by the way it has to be kept quiet after whatever time" ..... Anyway just wanted to warn other younger people as we paid 1300 pound for this experience.

People looking after the place were nice enough the rest of the time

In response to these comments it should be noted that noise complaints at The Whitehouse are few and far between as we find that it is simply polite for guests not to act in a manner that disturbs other residents late in the evening.

Perhaps this customer was not aware of how noisy they were being and it is unfortunate that our caretakers deemed the noise levels to be sufficient to contact the guests in this regard.

My family and I stayed in apartment 9 of The White House Apartments on the 27th and 28th April to attend a family wedding.

We wanted an apartment to enable us to self cater and to be together. We looked at various options on the internet and chose The White House Apartments having looked at the reviews, the studied the website and looked at the location of the apartments to the wedding venue.

What a disappointment !!!!

Apartment 9 is dated, exceedingly basic, tired and in need of a major revamp. It certainly was not to the standard of apartments shown on the website and did not go anywhere near to meeting our expectations.

Examples of the poor standards are :-

Poor decor including wallpaper peeling off the walls and chipped paint.
Curtains hanging loose from curtain poles.
Damaged furniture.
Worn and faded bed linen.

I slept in the single room. The paintwork is an apalling orange colour, the unit under the window is cracked and of poor finish, the duvet cover was old and faded and the headboard is of blue material. Thankfully I was only in there to sleep and my eyes were tightly closed.

I expressed our upset and disappointment to the staff on my arrival, spoke to the duty manager on the Saturday and wrote to complain when we left. We have been offered a complimentary return visit. This is of no use to us as normally when visiting the area we actually stay with family, nor would we have any desire to visit the apartments again.

The management have refused to offer us any rebate on our costs.

As a family we have decided not to let this big disappointment spoil our memories of an otherwise lovely weekend.

The management of the apartments will I hope use this experience to review the website and the apartment and then compare it to what is actually offered in the apartment.

My hope is that this complaint will result in other people deciding to stay elsewhere and will hopefully result in a loss of income.

We welcome all reviews positive & negative as this is how we continually improve our service. Please look beyond this review as there is certainly more positive feedback from guests than negatives. I think it would be helpful for review readers to also check the history of the reviewer as this would help them on making their decision.

I was very disappointed to hear that this particular guest & her family did not enjoy their stay with us.

At the White House we have very high standards across the board and are graded by Visit Scotland as a 3-4 star establishment but offer a 5 star customer care service. Through our initial correspondence with the guest prior to their arrival it was never made apparent that they were under the impression that they were staying in "Luxury Accommodation”. No such claim of this nature is made in our website nor reflected in our tariff.

Unfortunately, we were not notified of their disappointed on arrival and following our company procedure we called the apartment to check that everything was to their satisfaction shortly after their check in. A member of the party in fact confirmed that everything was satisfactory. It was not till later on that evening when that one of the guests passed comment on the apartment to our evening caretaker.

Our assistant manager spoke with a guest from the party on the morning following their check in and offered alternative accommodation in together with our assistance in moving their items. This offer was declined.

This apartment has recently undergone a minor refurbishment which is due to be completed later this month.

I appreciated this feedback from the guest and did offer a complimentary stay which was extended to family and friends and I do hope that they will take us up on this offer.

I stayed here with extended family in 2 apartments, one the mews cottage and one the flat at the top, flat 9.

The accommodation was bright, spacious, and perfect for a large family gathering. The staff onsite were very nice and friendly and helpful - we left a child's blanket which they sent back to us no problem.

We enjoyed our stay here very much in a posh part of beautiful Glasgow and had a wonderful relaxing time. I am certain we will be back and I would recommend these apartments to anyone as a great base for exploring Glasgow. It is in a quiet part of Glasgow but within10 minutes walk of the fab West End where we ate and drank happily.

The area is so lovely, listed buildings in an exquisite crescent, and it was a pleasure. I was sorry to leave.

Room Tip: Flat 9 was lovely - top of building, private, large, spacious and lovely views over city and nearby...

I stayed here for nearly 3 months. My apartment (No. 22) is probably the best. No. 23 is to be avoided. The staff are absolutely excellent, hard-working, kind & nothing seems too much trouble. The beds are very comfy, the facilities excellent. Parking is right outside, Cleaning is expertly done weekly, there is Internet access (a special router was provided) & good laundry facilities. Really you need a car to get to the Byres Road shops & city centre, although there are buses within a short walk. A welcome pack of tea & coffee is provided by the kettle & there are flat panel TVs in all the bedrooms & sitting-room. I could not have been looked after better.
I would suggest improving the sofa & chairs in No 23; they're the only downside of a really nice apartment.

Room Tip: No 22 is really not up to standard; to be avoided. 23 is superb. I believe all the rooms are pleasan...
