This is a pedestrianised street with many of the shops you would expect to find. It had a very pleasant ambience with some street performers at the weekend, including pipes and drums.

You will think you are in London! Great variety of high street shopping, Buchanan Galleries, Princes Square, Argyle Arcade is a must, House of Fraser, huge Nike store and Next( my sons favorite! ) 3 Starbucks along the street. Sauchiehall Street and Argyle connect and are also known for their shops. Buchanan is the main shopping throughfare in Glasgow, second only to Oxford in London. The subway has a station there, which is very user friendly.

With the Concert Hall and the Buchanan Galleries at one end and the old fashioned elegance of Forsyth's Department Store at the other, Buchanan Street also has world class restaurants in between.
Now the undisputed heart of Glasgow's shopping zone, Buchanan Street runs past Royal Exchange Square with its opening to the Style Mile (Ingram Street), and has intersections with both Sauchiehall Street and Argyle Street.

If you are into shopping you will love this street - so will the plastic!!! Plenty of eating houses to vist - especially in Princes Arcarde. House of Frazer is at the bottem of the street with John Lewis at the top - what more could you need!!!

Together with Argyle street, these two amazing streets make the heart of Glasgow. Especially during Christmas time you'll be amazed at how lively and diverse things will get.
