Stayed here instead of Crowne Plaza, as hubby was attending an exhibition @ SECC. I walked along the river to shop. Cab or train are simple to get if needed.
Rooms are well appointed, quite small but have everything you need.
We pre-booked breakfast upon arrival, £17.50 for 2 per day. Selection was very good, including a waffle maker and fresh eggs.
Will stay here again, very good value for money

We stayed for 1 night on a shopping package rate, this included BB, Dinner, 2 glasses of Prosceco and a taxi into the centre. The hotel is great for the SECC and the room although quite small was clean and had a lovely view of the river. Dinner and breakfast was of a high standard and if we were heading to an event again, I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. If I was only shopping I would choose to stay at a hotel closer to the centre of Glasgow.

Room Tip: Ask for a river view

Dear Enjoylife63

Thank you for reviewing your recent stay.

It is good to learn that your dinner was of a high standard, the extensive choice we offer dinner inclusive guests is fantastic compared to many hotels who offer a limited set menu.

Kind Regards,
Brian

Stayed here in October 2012 while attending a conference. Rooms are clean and modern. Size is typical of a European hotel. The room had a nice view of the river. Friendly staff who were able to accomodate my early morning arrival with an available sleeping room.
The staff was friendly and the included breakfast was very good.
The hotel is outside of the main tourist attractions of Glasgow, but the hop-on tourist bus stopped right outside of the hotel.

Dear traffic_doc

Thank you for reviewing on Tripadvisor.

The Glasgow tour bus that stops outside the hotel is indeed a fantastic way to travel round the city.

Kind Regards,
Brian

Stayed 1 night to attend conference at SECC. Cost for night inc dinner and breakfast per person (2 sharing) £62.50. Would have cost more counting meals in Travelodge. Had very civilised stay with welcoming accommodating staff. Didn't blink an eye when negotiated free coffee instead of desert with meal as I am dieting and at breakfast happily accommodated request for boiled egg. Would happily return.
