The staff were very friendly and helpful, check-in went smoothly and my queries regarding the whereabouts of the nearest ATM and a taxi for the next morning were quickly sorted. The room was comfortable and clean and the bed very comfortable. The hotel had everything i required for an overnight stop - a decent shower, free wifi and a great breakfast.

The breakfast room was very nice and overlooked the river. I cannot fault breakfast, there was a really good choice and the staff on duty were very pleasant and helpful.

If i was visiting Glasgow as a tourist or visiting the SECC i would certainly recommend staying here although i must say that next time i'm just overnighting in Glasgow between flights i would probably find somewhere nearer to the airport.

My wife and I were staying in Glasgow for a couple of days and after a bit of research decided on this hotel as it was quite central and had a nice view. Room was nice, nice bathroom. Check in was simple and staff were friendly.
The hotel itself is narrow, this never seemed a problem till our second night. My wife is five months pregnant and after a full day of shopping and the cinema she was tired and wanted an early night. Unfortunately the hotel had a Christmas party on downstairs and the music was so loud you could hear the words of the songs and also the Djs voice from the 3rd floor. She managed to get to sleep but got woken up a couple of times. I called the desk for an explanation and the staff were helpful. the night manager apologised and offered to move us but as it was 2300 this was unpractical. The party stopped at 0000 and the music stopped. We were given a discount of that nights rate and our car parking charges were comped.
This did not appear to be the staffs fault but the hotel is not suitable for a quiets night sleep and holding parties. not ideal for a 4 star hotel.
Apart from the noise the hotel is lovely, breakfast was nice and staff are friendly. When checking in make sure there are no events on and if there are I would recommend asking for a high floor on the other side of the hotel.

Some friends and I stayed here overnight and were greeted with a smile and the minimum of fuss when checking in. My room had a lovely view overlooking the river, was very clean and modern with generous wardrobe and drawer space. Bathroom was compact but shower was spotless and was a great start to the evening ahead. Warm atmosphere in the bar where we had a couple of pre-dinner drinks and the meal was first class. After a late night, the varied breakfast on offer went down a treat and there was no rush as 11am was the cut off. I would definitely stay here again as I couldn't fault it.

Stayed on a three night break and could find no faults with the hotel at all. We were greeted by friendly staff who assisted in all that was asked over the stay and the room had everything required and was spotless.well done!
The location is excellent for the SSEC and city centre and there is also a stop for the city tour buses outside which offers a great way to get ones bearings round the city which has so much to see for all tastes! Lovely outside area to eat out or enjoy a drink by the riverside and reasonable parking adjacent.Thank you Hilton, will be back (when the rain stops!!)

Room Tip: room with river view a must

Stayed here with friends, the rooms are lovely and spacious, the bathrooms have showers only, but they have good pressure, a nice wake up!! The TV also doubles as a computer great for business travellers. The beds are very comfy, had a great nights sleep!!!
We were very well looked after by Chris Hearne & his team in our private room, the food was first class. Breakfast was everything you need with an amazing addition of a waffle machine!! Smothered in Maple syrup, how could i refuse!!
Thanks JS for organising a great reunion!!

Room Tip: As for a River view

My husband and I stayed here when attending a concert at the SECC. It is only a few minutes walk away from the venue and a short taxi ride from the city centre.
Our check in was quick and courteous. Our room was smallish but was fully equipped and suited our needs; Mac/TV, tea and coffee making facilities, plenty of room for storage, wine glasses, area information and a bathroom with toiletries and hairdryer. (My husbands only complaint was that there were no biscuits!) The room itself was clean and had tasteful decor. The bed was very comfortably with great pillows. Not a great view from our room (car park) but we booked the cheapest room for our purposes and I'm sure a river view would have cost extra and this isn't something we were terribly concerned about.
Our only complaint was at the bar. We ordered two pints of Budweiser and the cost of this left us both speechless..£9.90! Even by Glasgow 4star hotel standards this is very high! As a result we spent the rest of our time before and after the concert at the nearby Crowne Plaza hotel where two pints of Staropramen cost only £8.20. We will probably stay at the CP the next time we attend at event at the SECC because of this.
However if you're not planning on using the bar I would recommend the Hilton.

Room Tip: Rooms with a better view may cost a little more
