Review of Hunterian Museum

The museum is situated in the grounds of Glasgow University which are themselves impressive buildings. The museum is basically a Victorian collection and so is a hotch potch of exhibits related to archeology, zoology, anatomy etc. Many of the exhibits are fascinating - especially the Antonine Wall display. However, what really makes the museum is that it is beautifully curated. There are free guided tours around the museum - check the website for details. The University of Glasgow shop is also very nearby and has an excellent range of gifts for all ages.

It's well worth longer than I had to spare and my review is based on the small part I saw. The collection is eclectic and there's something for everyone.

Lots of history surrounding the human body with specimens in jars. Also fossils and how the roman empire worked. It is for free so go visit when you are in Glasgow.

I saw things here I have not seen all over the world. Do not miss this - and also they have great soup in the Cafe nearby for the weary traveller!
