The museum is situated in the grounds of Glasgow University which are themselves impressive buildings. The museum is basically a Victorian collection and so is a hotch potch of exhibits related to archeology, zoology, anatomy etc. Many of the exhibits are fascinating - especially the Antonine Wall display. However, what really makes the museum is that it is beautifully curated. There are free guided tours around the museum - check the website for details. The University of Glasgow shop is also very nearby and has an excellent range of gifts for all ages.
