“Amazing collection”

Something for everyone and set out in a splendid building. I did not do it justice because there was just so much to see on the site . But well worth a look

“Another Glasgow MUST”
Reviewed October 17, 2013

Superb collection of not only old masters, iconic paintings, dinosaurs, etc, it has the MacIntosh exhibit which is second to none. Well worth visiting and spending some hours there.

“Don't miss the MacIntosh House”
Reviewed October 15, 2013

The MacIntosh House, which is owned by the Hunterian, is definitely a "not to be missed" item. You do have to go on a tour, but the one we experienced was very interesting. The second floor of the house is particularly breathtaking. And, the museum is free (there may be fees for special exhibits).

“Worth a visit”
Reviewed October 5, 2013

this free entrance attraction is a key part to any visit to Glasgow. the collection will not be to everyone's taste, consisting largely of classical old masters but it has some iconic pieces and is representative of a particular type of collection. it has also introduced me to Joan Eardley's work for which I am grateful!
