It's well worth the time and the climb to make your way to the top. Beautiful monuments and Celtic crosses, then a lovely view all the way to the mountains once you're at the peak.

I came across the Glasgow Necropolis when I was walking through the city. Having walked through so much architectural dross it was wonderful to find the stunning Necropolis.

It's not scary at all for those of you who do not like graveyards.. You can get a beautiful view of the cathedral from here as well as Glasgow East. The Necropolis itself is interesting has a calming effect on visitors.

I spent a bit of time in Glasgow recently and took a walk up to see the Necropolis. What an amazing amount of history in one place. Some of the tombs are works of art but some of the pathways could do with a bit of maintenance
