The collection is in Pollok Park which is one of the nicest in the city and my personal favourite. There is a large car park, and if time permits, there is a lovely circular walk down past Pollok House (a Scottish National Trust property) and back along the river. There is also a good children's play park opposite the Burrell where the children can let off steam.

The collection has a wonderful range of paintings and objects collected by Burrell during his long life. There are free guided tours mosts days, some on specialised topics. At the moment there are guided visits to the impressive collection of impressionist paintings.

There is a good cafe on site, and a shop, and toilet facilities. The building itself is worth a visit as it incorporates stained glass windows and architectural structures which are part of the collection.

The Burrell Collection is a peaceful, well laid-out museum. I really enjoy going there, but I wouldn't recommend it for kids under 10. There's a lot of history to take in and lots of information about the exhibits so it's best with kids who are old enough to read independently and understand what they're reading! However, I find if a very peaceful, relaxing place to go around. The cafe is downstairs and very good. Good, clean toilet facilities too. The Burrell is situated within Pollock Park Estate in Glasgow, so lovely to walk around afterwards. There's a super play-park too.

I love the Burrell! it is airy, well laid out with some very interesting collections bith permanent and visiting. The cafe is very nice too. Although it's free to get in, you do pay for parking. Lovely walk around the park- with highland cattle nearby.

Great museum with something for everyone. Nice cafe with friendly and helpful staff as well as good food and once you are filled with food and art take a walk through the beautiful Pollok Park.
