The collection is in Pollok Park which is one of the nicest in the city and my personal favourite. There is a large car park, and if time permits, there is a lovely circular walk down past Pollok House (a Scottish National Trust property) and back along the river. There is also a good children's play park opposite the Burrell where the children can let off steam.
The collection has a wonderful range of paintings and objects collected by Burrell during his long life. There are free guided tours mosts days, some on specialised topics. At the moment there are guided visits to the impressive collection of impressionist paintings.
There is a good cafe on site, and a shop, and toilet facilities. The building itself is worth a visit as it incorporates stained glass windows and architectural structures which are part of the collection.
