“A GOOD INTRODUCTION TO THE HISTORY OF PEOPLE IN GLASGOW”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 5, 2013

A short stroll along the banks of the Clyde to Glasgow Green takes you to an interesting museum tracing the history of Glasgow Life. There is a good cafe selling scrummy Empire biscuits and snacks. The glasshouse has many tropical plants. outside is the Doulton terracotta fountain featuring queen Victoria and the Empire. Next door is the ornate Lambert carpet factory. A great place to spend a day or just a couple of hours.Free entry!

Lots of Glasgow history and a nice cafe and an interesting shop. Like the Art Galleries one visit is not enough.

“Great Place to take kids”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 1, 2013

There is a huge atrium with places to get food and ice cream. Often there are botanical shows or outdoor fairs. I have been here several times with my grand kids. You get here via the hop on hop off buses.

“Always worth a visit.”

The variety of the exhibition, always good to see what life was like in certain times. Also remembering that some of us have lived through some of the exhibition times. There is also a lovely little restaurant here.
