“An Essential Visit to discover the social history of Glasgow”
Reviewed October 8, 2012

I think my title says it all. We spent a morning here and were thoroughly educated and entertained by the exhibits.
Followed a group of primary pupils round and gained the advantage of listening to the explanations been given to them!
This place is a must visit site and like all the Council run museums in Glasgow it is FREE!

“welcome to Glasgow”

Another great attraction in Glasgow , and also not like other cities who charge an entry fee. This great place shows some of the history of Glasgow , well worth a visit , also has the Dalton fountain outside.

The place was refurbished a few years ago and it could do with a bit of further TLC but on a rainy day in Glasgow its a good place to go. Its warm dry and has an ok cafe.

“Great place for kids to run amok”
Reviewed October 1, 2012

Great museum for kids - (un)fortunately, we had left ours at home for the weekend. Very lively place, and some of the exhibits are starting to show signs of wear thanks to all the little hands that play with them. I'd come back with the kids, but wouldn't really recommend it to mature couples...the Winter Gardens were lovely though - nice place for a cup of tea.
