“Good tour, even the standard one is”
Reviewed May 9, 2013 via mobile

This is a nice distillery to visit. The people our kindly helping you with any question you got. You permitted to take pictures about anywhere in the distillery. We did some quit expensive tours. The chocolate and cask tasting. This didn't add enough extra as we had to pay 70 pounds for it. The whiskies we got to taste were very nice though. One big dissapointment... They had run out of the Teapot dram...

“Wonderful tour”
Reviewed May 3, 2013

We took a "century tour" & felt it was well worth the cost. We got to taste a hundred years of scotch ( a 10 yr, 40 yr & a 50 yr finished in a Spanish sherry cask). Our tour guide was very knowledgeable about every aspect of the distillation process. The actual stills are almost like works of art. The gift shop has a great display of scotches to buy & I bought a Glengoyne shirt-jacket. We were also able to bottle our own cask strength bottle & fill out our own label.

“Interesting, even for a non-whiskey drinker!”
Reviewed April 29, 2013

Maybe 45 minutes outside Glasgow, this is a nice drive and an easy afternoon. The tour is only about 30 minutes long, but there's also a whisky tasting you can linger over. Very interesting to see the process and see the detail and exacting patience that goes into making true single-malt whiskey.

“Finally, I made it!”
Reviewed April 28, 2013

I used to live 10 miles down the road from this distillery; before I knew anything about whisky. I never visited. Our Whiksy Tour this year included a trip to Glengoyne and I am really glad I went. Professionally run, this tour was popular (18 of us) including all nationalities. Glengoyne is situated at the foot of the Campsie Fells, a beautiful location and the tour takes this into account with their brilliantly positioned bar!
A good tour, very patient guide with all the translation going on around him and the noise of the cherry picker! (There was ongoing re-decoration going on, hence the work).
A very good visitor shop and great whisky to buy. So glad I finally went!

“Brilliant little tour”
Reviewed April 25, 2013

We decided to go for a tour a the distillery and booked the master blander tour. The tour guide was very friendly and helpful and also very knowledgeable. We tried many different whiskies which were beautiful and it was great to see the process of distilling. Towards the end we went into a separate area away from other tour groups, almost like a lab, but with nice wooden table and chairs, and got to distil out own whisky and take it home. It was a great tour and a great half day out.
