“St. Mungo”
Reviewed December 12, 2012

Yes, in the fifth century A.D. he came over from Ireland. Learn of the legend of the fish, the bird and the ring. It's on the wall, before Scotland became mainly Protestant it was a Catholic stronghold.

The bird that never flew, the fish that never swam, the bell that never rang, all because of the ring. I've a lovely photo of it's stained glass windows from the interior. What a lovely church. Please leave a donation to visit.

“A beautiful building”
Reviewed December 3, 2012

I have visited this building several times. It just catches my imagination every time. The ceiling is so ornate, I got a sore neck from trying to take it it's beauty. It's just one of those places in Glasgow which keeps drawing me back.
The large cemetery adjoining it, is one of Glasgow's oldest and biggest. Also worth a look for the Necropolis nearby. It's in a very historic area in Glasgow and situated near the oldest street and House.
I would recommend a visit here.

One of the most amazing buildings you can visit in Scotland. Fed up with castles? Then just go to visit this Gothic style cathedral and enjoy!
