I regularly pass the City Chambers on my way to work and when I was studying there.

I decided to book a tour with some friends and I was completeley amazed at the building both inside and out. I'm not one for art or architecture but the inside is truly stunning. Marble floors, high ceilings and all maintained to an excellent standard. I would reccommend a visit if you haven't yet been, or even just pop in for a look!

i went on one of the free tours whic take placeat 10.30am and 2,30pm. No expense was spared on this edifice. Costly marble and alabaster. Polished mahogany and satin wood. Plaster work beautifully fomed and painted. I want to be a councillor here as the leather chairs in the council chamber are generous comfortabel and of beautiful red leather. Worthy of this great city.

Our lovely guide Marion was knowledgable and friendly and took time to answer questions about this beautiful building. This is a 'must see' tour for anyone in Glasgow - it is breathtaking oh and its free which is also great.

This building is spectacular inside and out. Inside it is full of marble and the lighting is amazing. If you can manage the stairs it's better to get to the top and you can see the building better this way. Paintings at the top of Lord Provists. well worth a visit.
