“Night at the theatre”
Reviewed July 8, 2013

Spotlessly clean hotel and certainly would recommend it for a stay in Glasgow as it is next to the station and only a short stroll away from Kings Theatre, good location indeed. Sound proof rooms and a big comfy bed ensured a good nights sleep. All the usual standard Premier Inn facilities were provided - hair dryer, soaps, towels, extra pillows, tea/coffee, tv, air con. and a heater. Our corner bedroom was large and the view from our windows was pretty amazing, room 1017. Reception staff were pleasant and friendly and no problem checking in. Unfortunately our key card didn't work but was soon replaced. We had our evening meal and breakfast in the restaurant and can't compliment the young staff enough, excellent service and our evening meal was piping hot so well done chef! Will certainly be back here on next visit to Glasgow!

Room Tip: Corner bedroom on a high floor facing the Mitchell library for best view.

Stayed here as a last minute resort after I was finding it very had to get a room big enough for me and several friends. I'm glad we stayed here though, we found it very reasonably priced, it came to around £60 for the room and the room was bet spacious and comfortable, it came with a large dressing table and a 22" flat screen tv, plus a wardrobe style thing- and a nice hospitality tray with kettle, tea, coffee etc. the bathroom was big with a large bath and shower facilities with extra towels in the bathroom. The beds were very VERY! Comfortable, I found it hard to get up in the morning! The check out wasn't til 12 the next day though so thank god! The room had 2 beds, one massive king size bed that fitted 3 people comfortably! (Yes we did test it!) and an average sized single bed which was comfortable. All the bed sheets were freshly made and felt brand new, we were even given extra pillows which was a nice touch as I can't sleep with one pillow I need 2! The only downside to the room was that the windows didn't open but I think that was just for health and safety reasons but the room did have air conditioning that we could control and adjust ourselves. Overall a great room but the location wasn't great due to it being in the middle of the town and right beside a motorway. Would definitely stay here again!

we were given a corner room on the 12th floor. i have to admit being a country liver, i was a little worried i would not get sleep due to city noises, being all around, but the room had double windows, and i managed to get two great nights sleep, the beds were really comfortable, the room fresh and clean, and the staff were helpfull and cheery, check in was problem free, as was check out, they were able to help us out with taxi number and the likes we were in need of. the main door close at 11pm, but there was a side door that could be accessed with the key for your room, because of this i felt safe, they had there good night gaurentee wich they kept. and an all night reception. being that it's only about mins walk from Sauchiehall Street, with loads of great restaraunts and night life (although we stayed mid week) it is a good central location for these things, with out being over bearing for the guest who is not interested in these things, it did feel like a home from home in the time we stayed and over all a great hotel and i would highy recomend

I recently stayed here for the first time, and as usual with the Premier Inn, I was very happy with my stay.

The hotel sits right next to Charing Cross station, so it's very handy for getting into Glasgow central or to Edinburgh, and Sauchiehall St is only a minutes walk away and there are lots of bars & restaurants here.

It did take around 20 minutes to check in, which is too long but I had only booked online an hour before and so the booking had not been received in the system.

My room was very bright and clean. You get 30 mins free wi-fi and after this you have to pay, but right beside the hotel is a bar/restaurant called The Baby Grand and it has free wi-fi and does lovely coffee.

Breakfast was good. I paid £5.50 for the continental and had porridge, fruits, yoghurt and tea.

The one downside was that it was very noisy. There was a very large group of Eastern European girls who I think were gymnasts, as they were out in the corridor practising and making lots of noise. However, another guest asked them to stop and they did... for a wee while.

All in all this is a great choice if you want to be near the centre of Glasgow.

Good value for money. Good location. Had nice, quiet rooms with tea and coffee making facilities and TV. Stayed there for a week and would come back any time. Cannot comment on food because we did not eat in the hotel.
