My wife and i just returned from our first trip to Scotland. We began and ended our stay in Glasgow at the Manor Park Hotel. It was a lovely old converted private house and just as described on the internet. We had a different room each time and each was spacious and bright. Since the hotel is on a very quiet residential street in Glasgow's west end, we had no problems with noise from people or traffic. It was an easy and short hop onto the highway or downtown (we were renting a car).
The owners, Cathie and Angus MacDonald, were a delight to meet and most helpful with recommendations for sights and restaurants and even loaned us their personal map of Glasgow. The included breakfast was served in a large sunny dining room on the ground floor and was tasty and ample, allowing three choices of continental breakfast, cereal and yogurt, or full breakfast with eggs, potato scone, roasted tomato and breakfast meats, with all the juice and coffee you could drink.
We thoroughly enjoyed our two stays at the Manor Park Hotel and would gladly stay there again.More
