“Excellent for Secc”
Reviewed February 10, 2013 via mobile

Was at Secc and this hotel was ideal, only a short walk away. Walked into shops in main shopping areas and back..Cold night but room was very warm, beds comfortable and lovely breakfast. Free parking at the hotel all weekend and easy to get to from the motorway.

Hotel is on the main street and the main reception is well set out with computer access, tea and coffee facilities as well as a vending machine with snacks, Booking in was quick and easy, i didnt need the print off booking form as all details were on the computer, Very clean and tidy, staff very freindly and helpful, the breakfast was well worth the money and seconds too if you required more.I will certainly use the hotel again.

Room Tip: Rooms basic but clean.

I booked an en-suite single room at £35 including cooked breakfast and was provided with an en-suite double room on the top floor. This was brilliant for me because I felt safe from the noise outside. The staff were really helpful and were able to direct me to right buses and helped me when I got lost getting back to the hotel by providing address. The breakfast was really good with melon and fruit to start and then a lovely cooked breakfast of fried egg, bacon, black pudding and mushrooms. I asked whether they cater for children as well as planning to take a friend with her son. They said they did and had smaller breakfasts for them. They provide downstairs rooms if you can't manage the stairs. All in all a very good stay. I would recommend to anybody. Keep up the good work.

Room Tip: If you have mobility problems they provide ground floor rooms.

A really good, clean, value for money hotel, well located for city centre and SECC.
With a tasty breakfast included, you couldn't ask for any more at the price.
On-street parking only is fine for weekends but is metered during the day Monday - Friday.
Hotel is only small & has a lot of different levels - watch out if you're not mobile as there's no lift.

The breakfast was amazing...everything you could think off was offered along with a delicious cooked breakfast. Will definetly stay there again. :-)
