We stayed here three nights and enjoyed our time. Wonderful food and service. You must try the sorbet, the best ever!

Only comment, we had to use a sofa bed and it was terrible. They need to have a better mattress for the sofa bed.

Just want to say a very big thank you to everyone at the Sherbrooke Castle Hotel who did so much to make our daughter's wedding at the end of May such a wonderful day. Everyone has been so wonderful and helpful from when we first booked in January. The day was truly amazing with staff very helpful and discrete and the whole day flowed wonderfully. William was a great at organising us and Anne and her staff served a delicious meal speedily and unobtrusively We received many compliments about the hotel and its lovely staff. We had booked all the bedrooms so had a chance to see several of them and they were very different and attractive. Everyone slept well and we all enjoyed a very good breakfast with a great variety of choice. We had guests who work in tourism and catering and they all remarked on the high quality of service. Throughout the whole period of planning and on the day, the staff made us that we were special and important to them. Full marks! Thank you to everyone

We got married on 17th April 2014, it was incredible! We live in Sydney, Australia so organising the wedding from the opposite side of the world had its challenges however our wedding coordinators William & Colette made it so much easier through their professional, diligent and friendly service. The venue is just beautiful with old world charm. and the wedding meal was simply delicious! Many people commented on the lovely venue & great service. We also booked out all the rooms and no one was disappointed. My husband and I slept in the next morning, and unfortunately missed breakfast service - however when we phoned reception and explained, they brought us a breakfast in bed (a beautiful gourmet continental platter!) and extended our checkout by another hour. We can't wait to go back next time we're in Scotland and stay at Sherbrooke again to relive the memories. Thanks to all the staff for helping us make our dream wedding come true! xoxox

Room Tip: Room 1 is the bridal suite, very romantic!

Stayed for one night for my birthday with my husband. We stayed in room 1 which was a beautiful large four poster suite.

Hotel has lovely grounds and is a stunning looking building. Inside it is breath taking. Loved the decor. Staff were really friendly especially the lady at reception.

Could not fault the room. The bed is the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in at a hotel. Not your usual hard, springs digging into your back kind!! Massive shower and beautiful roll top stand alone bath in a bathroom that was spotless!

We stayed for dinner in the restaurant within the hotel and the food was fantastic! The rose wine is beautiful. Great atmosphere and service was great.

Had some drinks in the bar area and prices were not too bad. Would be good if they could do some cocktails though.

There is a quit snug room that is very relaxing if you want to chill and read a paper or book. Decorated like a library - very nice.

Had breakfast the next morning which is served in the restaurant or you can have it in your room. We had breakfast in the restaurant. Had the choice of continental or cooked breakfast. Really nice breakfast. Toast was a bit of a let down and missed my beans with my cooked breakfast but was still lovely.

Did not want to leave and would love to go back! Only major downside is the parking. Not really great for parking. Have a load of spaces but would hate to be staying if the hotel was fully booked or a wedding being on as some of the spaces are quite tight. They have made the best with the space they have though.

Room Tip: Upgrade to a suite! You will not be disappointed!

Spent one night with family (3 kids). Cool hotel in mansion/castle. Very clean. Hotel staff couldn't have been nicer. Thanks, Andre, for the advice on where to go for sightseeing. Breakfast was included and very good - have choice of continental breakfast and/or made to order (including a full Scottish).

I can't fault anything outside of the breakfast, which for both quality and service was massively out of character with the rest of the hotel. Beautiful gardens, amazing rooms, quiet surrounding area, friendly staff and authentic pipers - a perfect getaway. Get the breakfast up to the standard of everything else and I'd stay every time I went to Glasgow - beggar the expense! A mediocre breakfast buffet is always a let down but especially in a place as fabulous as this. And in response to other patrons that say 'ignore the reviews that don't agree with mine' - PLEASE this is a review site! Why try and guilt or cajole people to agree with you when you couldn't possibly have shared their experience?? I always discount these reviews as biased so really these perplexing people are achieving absolutely nothing.

I stayed here with my partner in November 2013. Relatively easy to find but a wee bit away from the centre. We checked in and had a lovely surprise of a four-poster bed in our junior suite. We ordered room service for dinner which was venison casserole and prawn cocktail which were fine. The room was nice, clean and spacious.

Breakfast the next morning was a bit hectic, the waiter could have done with another colleague to help him out and it wasn't very clear as to what to do with the buffet etc. Overall, nice hotel, managed to book it for a good last minute deal. Next time we would probably look to stay somewhere else nearer the city centre and possibly a bit cheaper.
