hotel was very good, bed was good, could be doing with a queen size or king and better pillows! was a bit noisy with other guests coming in laste at night , all very clean and tidy well set out, shower room clean although the fan was very noisy, service was good, breakfast was good aswell plenty to choose from, location was a bit weird in the photos it doesnt show you that you are above shops looks like you are just on the road (you will see what i mean if you go) parking not good, if you do go park on the main road and dont even try to go down the wee ally's (my car got damaged) all in all it did the job, would use again if i got a bargin price.

I booked the Heritage Hotel because of its closeness to Glasgow's City Centre and because of the price, which seemed reasonable to me. When we arrived, the receptionist hardly looked at us and found it hard speaking, bcause she was so absorbed by her computer. In my bathroom the bath mat was missing, also on the second day. The shower curtain was turned up on the rail, like the cleaning staff had just left. There were no amenities in the bathroom, like in the other places we stayed in.
In the breakfast room, the staff were taking orders, but standing, heads together, looking at some Avon stuff.
The hotel's location is very convenient to explore Glasgow, but not more.

Stayed here prior to a early morning flight to Ireland. The west side of Glasgow was very nice area to walk around. The hotel itself was easy to find, but hard to park at (down a narrow side alley), but parking was free, so that was good. There was free wi fi which was nice. The room was clean, roomy and quite. The bathroom was average, nothing special. My pillow was extremely lacking fill and made sleeping tough, however my wife seemed to have a better pillow.

The cheap room rate makes this place perfect if you don't plan to spend all your time in your room.

Good points: large, clean room (kept clean daily), friendly reception, location (close to transport, local centre in Byers Road and museums at Kelvingrove), no noise from other rooms, traffic noise was no problem even with window open.

Bad points: unusable internet connection in room (but ok in reception), lack of wall bannister on one flight of stairs made it difficult for elderly or unsure, intermittent hot water to en suite (at least needed a long run to draw off cold water), breakfast not great (sausages and turkey rashers(!) tasteless) - although choice of cereals, etc v good. Noted earlier comment about key security.

Fair value.

PS local Persian restaurant worth a visit.

I've stayed at the Heritage before, and the rooms were a bit scruffy. But they've had a refurb and my room was a stunning bargain for the single rate of £38 a night. It was clean and well decorated, with a new flat TV. So, well worth the money - though the woman at reception was initially less than welcoming - does a smile cost anything?. Be warned, there are aspects of the breakfast which are horrible; the turkey rashers, rather than real bacon, are a big mistake and the suspiciously red sausages are the devil's work. Avoid!. But if you're happy with a breakfast minus sausage and bacon, then this hotel is a good budget choice for the West End of Glasgow. It's on Great Western Road between Kelvinside and Hillhead stations on the underground, so easy to get to, and a short stroll from the Botanic Gardens. There's a nearby Persian restaurant for lovely - and cheap - dinners.

Great choice for a short break in Glasgow. Really close to a bus stop and subway that take you 10 min to downtown. Walking distance to a main street with grocery store, nice restaurants and stores.

Our room was big, clean and very comfortable as we required in the main floor. My husband could not climb the lugage trough the stairs. they are beautiful, but it could be a nightmare if you have a heavy suitcase!

I really recomend it and I can stay again if I come back to Glasgow!
