“An excellent base in Glasgow.”
Reviewed January 12, 2017 for a stay in December 2016

Just a short walk from the SPT subway (Partick) and walking distance to two other stations on the circular SPT (Kelvinhall and Hillhead) the cottage is in an idea location to explore Glasgow's West End, the Botanical Gardens, Kelvingrove Park, the Museum and Art Gallery and much more. It's about 15 minutes to the city centre (again using the excellent SPT). Hosts Roger and Annie Popplewell were very accommodating and did everything they could to make my family's stay comfortable.
The cottage is warm, clean and airy and has all the necessary facilities. I recommend it.

“A wee gem in a great location”
Reviewed January 9, 2017 for a stay in December 2016

This is a great place to stay - contemporary but with a retro twist as well as plenty of charm. It has a village feel but yet located in the West End - close to transport hubs to the rest of the city (train, subway and) bus) whilst also walking distance to some great cafes, restaurants and shops as well as attractions such as the Botanics. Ann and Roger were very friendly and on hand if required. Would definitely come back.

“The place was cool and decent for lodging , good location ,unsafe entrance.”
Reviewed November 12, 2016 for a stay in August 2016

I was pleased enough with the rental , however the entrance way was so slippery I feel down hard my 1st morning there.I had to shorten my vacation because of the shoulder pain. I had two good sized suitcases to lug around . The owner admitted he knew it was slippery but neglected to inform me. He offered me a drive to the train station.

Management Response
Nov 14, 2016
We were very sorry that Edward slipped at the entrance to our cottage. We do clean this area regularly because it is overshadowed by mature trees. There are anti slip mats in place. We are pleased that Edward did enjoy other aspects of the cottage.

“Trip to the ' Worlds Championships' in Glasgow”
Reviewed September 9, 2016 for a stay in August 2016

The cottage is very well equipped within easy reach of several good supermarkets and local shops. There are good cafes and pubs nearby. The underground is great for getting in to Glasgow.
The garden at the rear of the cottage is an absolute delight.
If the weather is fine(which it wasn't most of the time we were there except in the evenings) there are lots of lovely places to sit and enjoy the peace.

“Beautiful and cozy cottage!”
Reviewed September 5, 2016 for a stay in August 2016

We loved our stay at the Glasgow Holiday Cottage!

This well appointetd cottage is just a five minute walk away to the train and subway station Partick which provides quick and easy connections to all the sights to see in the city center. If you are looking for a tranquil and cozy holiday home but quick access to the hustle and buste of the city center, the Glasgow Holiday Cottage is the one for you!

Compact, cosy and practical base for a holiday in Glasgow. About 5-6 minutes walk down the hill to Partick train/subway station and the shops and supermarket. Large kitchen with a little garden outside. Owner immediately available next door for advice and assistance.
