Booking was done by email with great feed back by the hotel. Directions to the hotel were practically step perfect. On arrival we were made very welcome and felt very comfortable stright away. Tea and cakes were offered after we were showen to our rooms. All staff were very friendly and nothing seemed too much. The room we had was very well decorated and the ameneties were great. The bed was very good although my partner though that it was a wee bit too firm. Good feather pillows and Duvet. Good size TV and a good Sky packege to choose from. Being next to the Railway station you can hear the announcment but that should be taken as a wee bit of a quirk, you dont hear any traffic or street noises, and the announcments stop about 10pm and dont start again till abou 7am. Breakfasr was good with a good choise of things to have. All the food offered was of good quality. We were never tempted to go out for breakfast and it was a good start to our days. The staff were great in thier job and very friendly and willing to engage an a wee bit of chit chat at all times. Nothing was too much for them. I would highly rocomend The Grasshopper any time to all my friends and aquantencies. This hotel will be our 1st choice on any future visits ti Glasgow

We are just back from a night away at Grasshopper in Glasgow. This is the friendliest hotel we have stayed at. Sean (owner/manager) is very friendly and added a very personal touch by showing us to our room. The room was immaculately clean, very contemporary, gorgeous sheets!!! Great powerful shower, again which was immaculate. The hotel is closer than a stones throw from the city centre which is great for exploring. The fresh bread selection at breakfast was lovely. Breakfast was served by friendly and polite girls. This is a new hotel and the owners have did a fantastic job. We will be returning when next staying over in Glasgow!

We arrived at Grasshoppers Hotel in the morning after arriving from Toronto on the overnight flight. Sean offered to keep our luggage while we went out to eat and wander around the area. We chose to leave them in the rental van.
He and the staff were very accomodating, managing to have our rooms ready by 1 pm so that we could nap and refresh. Thank goodness as the teens in our group were exhausted.
The hotel and rooms are modern and very clean. The girls loved the showers. The breakfasts are excellent and the bread is very good as others have noted.
The rooms are a little tight on space and you need to leave your suitcase on the floor but that is the only complaint.
Sean and the staff do their best to make sure that you are well looked after. The staff are all friendly and obviously care about making sure that guests are well treated.
This is a great location as you can walk from the train station in no time at all. Shopping and restaurants are close by as well. Our group loved this place and would go again if ever back in Glasgow.

We stayed at Grasshoppers Hotel Glasgow for 6 nights at the beginning of our trip to Scotland and for another 3 nights at the end and were extremely happy with our choice of accommodation.

We just loved the design of the rooms and felt very comfortable throughout our stay. The hotel is situated next to the central station and therefore it is the perfect base for exploring Glasgow. Most sights can be easily reached on foot and the sights that are a little further away can be reached by either train or bus (e.g. from Hope Street just around the corner of the Hotel). Although the hotel is so central, we enjoyed astonishingly quiet nights - no traffic noise, just the cry of a seagull every now and then. (We booked rooms facing the station.)

But as most of the reviewers have already pointed out, the best thing about this hotel is its people: the owners and the staff! Everybody was so helpful and friendly - we almost felt like VIPs! :-) When booking into Grasshoppers Glasgow you get the comfort of a high class hotel plus the personal touch of a B&B.

Back home in Germany we already miss the great breakfast - the excellent bread and the fresh fruit especially. Joanna and Sean told us that they will soon add a cooked vegetarian option to their breakfast menu. Since we are vegetarians this is just another reason for us for returning to this fantastic new hotel as soon as possible. Thanks to Sean, Joanna, Barry and all the others for a comfortable stay in beautiful Glasgow!
