I stayed at the Kelvingrove two separate times on my trip and the rooms did vary quite a bit. They were both decent sized (although the one upstairs was much larger) and perfectly clean. The staff were kind and helpful and the hotel shared spaces were spotless. The West End is a brilliant place to stay, as there are so many amazing places to eat and things to do. I would stay here again, just wish they would vacuum during your stay. On my first 3-day stay I noticed the same lint/crumbs on the carpet the whole time I stayed, despite the fact that they came in to empty the garbage and make the beds.

Room Tip: Rooms on the main floor seem to be larger but noisier.

Enjoyed our stay in Glasgow's West End which was within walking distance of the city centre. Great value for money we thought with nicely decorated rooms, friendly / very helpful staff and a cracking cooked breakfast in the morning. Would definitely use this hotel again.

Although we were slightly put off booking in the first place due to the lack of private parking meaning that we would have to park on the street with a meter, the hotel are able to hand out £2 residents passes so that we didn't have to get up first thing to change any tickets. Not a problem at all.

A bonus for the morning was being able to walk <5mins around the corner to the Kelvingrove Museum after our check out.

The staff was very helpful when it came to finding fun stuff to do in Glasgow. The rooms were always clean. The beds were a bit tough but overall we had a great stay. There is a breakfast served every morning. Glasgow is an amazing city.

Stayed at The Kelvingrove Hotel 9/3/2014 for one night. Hotel has a great location and looks great from the street. Reception was pleasant and showed us to our room. We had dinner in Mother India a stones throw away from the hotel before going to the Hydro, which again was very close to hotel. Breakfast, although slow to come out, was really good. Would stay here again.

Room Tip: Great location for hydro, we had twin room number 8 it looks out on the front street.

This is a great little hotel. It's in a great location especially if you are going to the Hydro or SECC. There's loads of pubs, restaurants, and takeaways in the area so you have many different choices. The room is very comfortable and clean. Nice bathroom. The only thing bad about the room was that when water was running in the bathroom (sink and shower) there was a very loud noise that wouldn't stop until the water was turned off. Other than that there is absolutely nothing bad to say about this place. The staff was amazing. The nicest staff I have ever experienced in a hotel. They were very friendly and extremely helpful. This is definitely the place to stay if you ever find yourself in Glasgow!
