This just the perfect place to come for a wander or to people-watch. I live very nearby and quite often take a walk through on my way to Byres Rd. Lots to see and do right in the heart of the city. The gardens themselves are beautiful, great play-area for kids and the Kibble Palace a feast for the eyes.

To wander through the woods and admire the trees and shrubs pick up a sandwich and a drink and just enjoy peace.

Going to the west end is always a pleasure its clean and well looked after and the Botanic Garden are a lovely escape for a couple of hours, I suggest every one should go there at least once a month, the ice cream and hot dogs are awesome as well even in this weather.

Thoroughly enjoyed the landscape of the gardens. Had previously been mentioned to me by friends as a place to visit. The grounds themselves were beautiful and it was thoroughly enjoyable to simply roam around and observe the scenery. The weather was not great but this did not stop our enjoyment. We even left with a few gifts. Cheers.

In October most gardens are pretty much spent. Here there are a series of greenhouses that feature many different plants from different areas of the world. It may be cold, rainy and blustery outside but you can find yourself a location that resembles the east or Africa. Some of the greenhouses are so warm you cannot maintain a jacket comfortably. Take your time and read all the information. Perhaps you have a home plant that you will find and recognize where it originally was grown. All in all this attraction refreshes one's spirit.

I recommend the orchids as there are some spectacular species.
