Great Scottish cuisine and a great atmosphere with great music on background. It's fantastic for lunch and even better at nights. Also has cracking selection of cocktails to boot

I've been to Slouch for lunch maybe ten times, and really enjoy it. Found it completely by accident when trying to find a nearby pub which turned out to be closed.

The food's been excellent and well priced, and there's usually a fantastically good-value set menu available. There are always drinks promo's, the service is great, place is clean, the music is usually excellent and very eclectic, and the staff are friendly and attentive.

Only slight downside is it's a tad off the beaten track of normal Glasgow haunts, but this means it's generally quieter during the day and only used by those "in the know", which is part of the appeal.

As far as I'm aware it's a venue in the evening, but haven't been at this time. Will try to make a point of it though.

Try it!

I was in town with a friend of mine last week who doesn't venture into Glasgow very much, so she was looking for recommendations for good places for a drink. So naturally, I brought her to Slouch. I love the chilled out atmosphere, good music, excellent cocktails and good food (We got a bit peckish so we ordered a plate of nachos. Which were awesome, just the way I like it with lots of cheese and a bit of chilli which gave them a nice kick!) I was a regular customer on Tuesday nights for a while when the Open Mic night was running and would always go back and visit when I was in town!

We were staying on Bath St and had passed Slouch Bar a few times. They do a blues night on wednesday but we had missed it. However happened by on a sunday and saw belle in the meadows, nice venue, great indie-folk style music, affordable drinks. the music between sets wasn't too bad either (for a couple of old-timers!). Didn't get to try the food as we had already eaten.

We came here last night after a neighbouring restaurant let us down through poor service. I have eaten at Slouch before and always been impressed. Last night, the food was exceptional. The market menu - two courses for £10.95 - is exceptional value. Both starters (the fishcakes and the chorizo hot pot) were full of flavour. The main, a pork belly stir fry, was full of tender and plump pork belly. Service was friendly and attentive. A further plus of Slouch is the fantastic music. Top marks to all concerned.
