Great location only a few blocks from Sauchiehall Street. Modern, clean rooms with enough space to fit plenty of luggage (which we needed!)

Room service is a tad pricey but is pretty good quality and a great option as most of the bars and pubs kitchens in the area close around 8 or 9pm

We arrived here after an international flight, tired and luggage-laden. Staff at the front desk opened the door as we disembarked from the taxi and helped shift our luggage inside (when was the last time that happened?!?!), and then checked us in quick smart. Our room was quite spacious, plenty of room to spread all our myriad of bags about, and still move around the room without risking limbs! Lovely big rain shower, super comfy bed, and the lovely touch of a free mini bar! Very very nice, highly recommend!

Spent a night there with my wife during Celtic connections. Very professional and friendly staff. Nice room, great location and a decent breakfast. Will definitely stay again and would easily recommend to friends and family.

I had booked Hotel Indigo on the basis of Tripadvisor reviews for my overnight rest after flying directly from Brisbane to Glasgow. I discovered a lovely, old fashioned hotel with a comfortable room. The internet connectivity was very good and the bed provided a really good night's sleep for a weary traveller. The local knowledge on the reception as of concern as the person was not able to give me definitive advice on catching the train to Inverness, potentially sending me to the wrong railway station. Breakfast was adequate. On balance, I would choose to stay here again.

Rooms at the Hotel Indigo are very warm and clean so in general I had a nice stay. Good selection of complementary mini bar items which were refreshed daily. Massive, comfortable beds so I got a great nights sleep. Powerful rainfall shower with Aveda and White Company toiletries.

However, the hotel's food really lets it down. The hotel has an awful selection of room service which it really needs to improve in order to compete with other hotels in the area (may just be that it is constrained by the IHG brand). There were only about 8 main dishes, which is fine in a true boutique hotel such as the nearby Blyswood hotel, but none of the dishes were in anyway special, one was soup and one was pate for example, I think another was a sandwich. I ordered what was pretty much the only vegetarian meal on the menu (the crudités with dips) which arrived without some of the items listed on the menu and wasn't in any way worth what was charged. The breakfast buffet again really isn't up to the standard of other similar priced hotels in the area (in addition the breakfast area and staff aren't particularly warm or welcoming) - limited selection of food, I picked up a yoghurt to find it was out of date.

I would stay in the hotel again because of the lovely rooms but would look to eat elsewhere.

Dear Sarah79,

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback on your stay. It is unfortunate the food selections prevented you from fully enjoying your time at the hotel. We are confident the necessary adjustments will be made, in order to achieve complete guest satisfaction.

I booked this hotel as a treat for my wife for Christmas and as a night away going to see the wonderful Del Amitri at the new Hydro.

The hotel in general was fantastic. Room was amazing, staff incredibly helpful and friendly, especially reception. Free wifi access as well was indeed very welcome too. It oozes luxury everywhere, except for the food and in particular breakfast. I also want to take this opportunity to say that the next few paragraphs are indeed a rant about the breakfast and mini-bar and while wordy thankfully didn't detract too much from the overall experience of our stay.

On the food front the choice at dinner was incredibly limited on both market and a la carte menus, although the salmon starter and fish and chips mains we did have was very tasty and served promptly. Breakfast on the other hand was the most disappointing thing of the whole stay, again, due to choice and to be frank the "Glasgow Breakfast" was nothing short of a joke. Ayrshire bacon? More like Asda smart price. Lorne sausage? incredibly tough meat again coming from what was likely budget lorne sausage. Word to your kitchen, you may be able to con out of town tourists with this stuff but not a local with cheap ingredients like these. It doesn't fool us, and truthfully it doesn't do any favour to the image of the city if folk think this is the kind of quality we are apparently used to eating.

Not only this, but a small amount of cold cuts and cheese, only two types of fruit juice available which for a hotel of this quality is scandalous and yoghurt sitting out in a bowl not chilled. Breakfast was indeed a real let down.

Lastly, the complimentary mini-bar was frankly derisory. One small bottle of white wine, two cans of soft drinks and lager, two caramel wafers and ONE small packet of crisps? I know the room we got was on special offer (I wouldn't even go near the astoundingly ridiculous £400 a night standard price) but this skimping out does nothing to match the luxury of the hotel itself.

So, while the thoughts above may be harsh. There is a lot to recommend for this hotel, all they need to sort is the food quality and the exorbitant prices they deem fit to charge.

first time staying at this hotel, very impressed with everything from effeicient check in, modern and quirky rooms , free minibar( with wine & beer), excellent location for city centre. The only negative is breakfast ( which reading other reviews is a constant issue)my wife's cooked breakfast arrived with several items cold( which although unfortunate can happen) the staff took this away and replaced it with another breakfast which was also cold!!
the breakfast service was very slow , taking one hour and fifteeen minutes from arriving to leaving. as this breakfast issue has been raised by reviewers often, can the management not address this adequately and sort out once and for all. otherwise this hotel is ideal for leisure and business.
