In Glasgow, we used to stay at the Marriott but, by all accounts, it has gone downhill so, during a 17 days stay in the UK, my wife and I spent 7 nights at the Indigo:one night in a King Bed Deluxe and six nights in the King Bed Indigo Suite. Although the latter is larger than the former, both rooms are small by North American standards. We found that space for hanging clothes was extremely limited, as was the number of clothes hangers provided.
The stay was generally enjoyable and the food was something of a mixed bag. Most staff were very accommodating, particularly Bonnie at Reception and Michael at the bar, although we were surprised and disappointed by the attitude of other Reception staff when two new access cards issued to us failed to open our room door, were immediately re-issued and again failed to work. Staff seemed stuck on the idea that our cell phones were at fault, (I will spare you the details, but it was a preposterous notion). This led to later email correspondence with management, and was really not resolved to our satisfaction.
Parking is a few steps away in a nearby parking garage but, when the Glasgow rain comes down, those few steps are very wet ones!
We are undecided whether to stay there again.More
