“Amazing hotel & the most helpful staff ever”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 7, 2011

I stayed here recently having tried many hotels in Glasgow and the hotel is amazing. Hence ill be staying here 3 days a week till early August .
Very cleverle renovated whilst keeping the period features of the building and the rooms are stunning. Couple of minor niggles but very quiet despite its city centre location, amazing beds, quality food and the complimentary mini bar with water, drinks and snacks is a nice touch- as are the towels and robes.
As my heading says, the staff are the icing on the cake with a warm welcome and a "nothing is too much trouble" approach which puts every competitor firmly in the shade! Too many times in hotels the staff dont care- not so here and they owners should be proud to have such a competent team.
I will definately be back

Indigo is stunningly beautiful!! It has really high ceilings, gorgeous fresh colours and the staff are all so refreshing and friendly - don't think you could find a nicer bunch of people!

From Reception, Restaurant & the very polite maids - they couldn't have done anymore to make our stay better than it was.

We stayed in a Executive room, slept in a huge cosy bed (had the best sleep ever) Shower - 1 word Divine (Aveda toiletries are a plus). Breakfast was delicious. Can Not Wait to go back!

To wrap up the whole stay - It was a special experience! If your thinking about going book now!

Room Tip: Eat in LimeLight - Food is very good!

Right from the minute we entered the foyer we were greeted and made to feel welcome, the Guy at reception was forthcoming with information. The rooms are beautifuly decorated and the beds really comfy (king size if a little high but we had a laugh about needing a punt up).

Room Tip: Decor choice of Pink, Blue, Green

Stayed here for one night in June. Really lovely hotel - rooms very nice, minbar and aveda products nice touch, bed really comfortable. Service throughout was excellent - reception, dinner and breakfast in the morning. Good location and convenient car park which wasn't too expensive - £7.25 for 24 hours with hotel 50% off voucher. Definitely will return when next visiting Glasgow. Wasn't particularly cheap but probably partly because of big concerts on in Glasgow that night. Worth it though - excellent!

Stayed in this hotel in June 2011 for 2 nights with my wife on a dinner, bed and breakfast deal. Check-in was fantastic by Kirsty and Colm - very friendly and happy to help!

Ate in the restuarant on the first night and it was great! service good and food was fantastic (try the salmon, yum!) . Had a few cocktails in the very stylish bar later that evening and they were also great - very relaxed atmosphere.

Overall this hotel is great - staff can't do enough to help you and make you feel very welcome. I will definitely be recommending it and will return in the near future!

Central location, only two minutes from Central Station/Hope St. All the facilities you would expect and the staff were helpful and polite, right down to the housekeeping staff switching off the vacuum cleaner as you passed. Lovely room (we picked a green room), and despite a city location there was no noise from inside or outside. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would stay again. Breakfast is excellent and lots of choice, veggie option also available. If you haven't booked a breakfast, there is a wee gem of a diner across the road called Operetta's which is worth a visit even if just for a coffee and slice of cake. Book, you won't be dissapointed and enjoy!

After looking at a number of hotels in Glasgow, I was swayed because of the excellent reviews, so decided to stay at the Hotel indigo, and I’m glad we did. We were in town for the Take That concert and to celebrate my girlfriends birthday, so I wanted somewhere nice. The hotel is situated 5 minutes from Glasgow central, so seemed ideal.

After arriving by train from Preston, check in was painless and the happy chap on reception Colm couldn’t be more helpful. The reception and bar/restaurant are bright, stylish and classy, and everywhere felt new. We were early, so left our bags and went to explore. Getting back to our room, I feel there is always a sense of excitement / nervous as you open the door for the first time! what will it be like? Will it look like the photos on the internet? Well the room was gorgeous, massive super comfy bed, clean bright colors and a beautiful bathroom, massive TV and a complimentary mini bar. Nice touch.

We stayed for three nights and EVERYONE from the maid to the receptionist was polite friendly and very helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. We didn’t try out much of the facilities as we were out all day but the food in the restaurant was nice and the room service was quick and of equal quality food as down stairs. The area around the hotel felt like the business district but did have a couple of pubs/bars on the same road, the main area is only a short walk away. Checkout was of equal ease and I would highly recommend staying here if you want to visit Glasgow.

Thank you for your kind comments about both the food and the staff, I will ensure that they are passed on. These are two areas in which the hotel takes great pride and I am delighted that we met with your expectation.
