If you do one thing during your trip to Glasgow, take the sightseeing tour on an open topped bus.

Tickets last for 2 days and are issued on a hop on hop off basis. So on the first day we did the whole tour, with lots of photo opportunities, to give us an overview of the fantastic range of tourist sites in this wonderful city.

On the second day we used the bus to take us back to several of the sites getting on and off the bus for 1/2 an hour or a full hour at a time. This is a really excellent way to see so many of the sites,

Over the 2 days we must have listened to 5 or 6 different tour guides, and every one was excellent in their own way. Knowledgeable, passionate, amusing, quirky, each guide had their own unique approach and you will have a quite different experience according to the guide you draw. But whoever is your guide you will have a terrific introduction to the city.

Try it you won't be disappointed.

“An Excellent Way To See Glasgow”
Reviewed October 29, 2013

Let me start by saying that I was born and bred in Glasgow in the 50's. Having returned for a visit recently, I thought I would take a trip on the Open Topped Bus. WOW ! I learnt so much and saw places that I had never seen before - it was a real education. It was so good in fact that I repeated the trip the following day - at no extra charge !! There is so much to see (even if you are from Glasgow!) and I'm sure that the true visitor will be pleasantly surprised. A great city tour in every respect.

“Good Value”
Reviewed October 27, 2013

The ticket lasts 2 full days so is good value for money. The service offers an audio guide or a live commentary, depending on which service you travel. The tour takes account 1.45 hours to complete and stops are easy to locate. We used the National Rail 2for1 deal so were very happy with the price we paid.

“Hop On Hop Off Tour of Glasgow”
Reviewed October 17, 2013

We really enjoyed this city tour of Glasgow, in particularly the second day as it was alive commentary, this guide really knew her stuff on Glasgow and was surprised to see she didn't have any notes. The tour starts from George Square you can buy the tickets on the bus or online if you buy them online you safe £1.00 per ticket and the ticket is valid for 2 consecutive days. We had tickets for the Sunday and Monday but most of the museums are closed on a Monday. I highly recommend this tour.
