I was here with my GF, and we had a good time, but nothing espectacular. The food was OK, but selection is pretty weak. The place is small, so dont come here with a big group but it is a reasonable choice for a date

This is the 2nd time we have ate here and both times the food was lovely. We bought the 5pm deal which bought 2x steak and homemade chips, ( normally £16.95) plus 2 x glass of red wine for £20. The only negative I would say is that we ordered another 2 small glasses of red wine which was charged at £5.95 per glass!
So although we enjoyed the meal, We did feel a little ripped off at the end of it.

Went with family and good atmosphere and pleasant serving staff - menu offered many choices from full meal or just a really good coffee

We were staying at the Premier Inn across the path where we ate the night before and it was good. The men went here for a drink on Saturday afternoon and we joined them later. We were deciding where to eat, when we noticed the pre-theatre menu. Are we glad that we did! Could not fault the three course meal. We could watch it being made from our seat! The meal was hot and plentyful.....we had to ask them to hold dessert for a wee while! The staff were very friendly and attentative. The guy on the piano was just great, we were sitting next to him, but we could still hold a conversation without shouting, kind o made it romantic. It was that good we went back for the breakfast the next morning. Again made to order and great value for money. Would go back to both the premier Inn and this bar....well worth a visit .

This place is now a regular eating place before going to a show . Food is excellent, not too expensive and the service is the best I have encountered in a long time. Nothing is too much trouble and staff are so attentive and very friendly. Fantastic atmosphere, guy playing piano, but not too loud, and you can chat to your friends without having to shout. Also, so handy for the kings theatre and charging x station. Could not fault it in any way, fabulous!
