Stuck in Glasgow and needed somewhere to eat close to the centre. TripAdvisor on mobile showed me this place about 5 mins walk away, and am I glad I did! Enter down the steps at the right habnd side of the church. Very dark interior, but surprisingly spacious once inside. Have a good hard look at the menu - its well worth it. I had the Ox cake - loverly slow braised Ox cheek in a breadcrumb coating with root veg puree. Very tasty. Couldn;t resist the steak for main - had mine rarae and so it was. Very tender, with a smooth but bitey peppercorn sauce. Swished it down with a pint of their guest bitter, and couldn't fit in a dessert. There were LOTS of things I fancied on the menu, so I will have to come back to try them. Well recommended.

This is where I first tasted Haggis, neeps and tatties as well as cullen skink. The service, food and atmosphere in this restaurant are all top notch! This is the #7 stop on the hop-on, hop-off bus in Glasgow...and the only reason to stop at #7!

Cafe Source offers a fantastic 5pm dinner deal: £25 per head for 3 courses and a half bottle of (really quite good) wine.

I visited with family, as a party of six and we all thoroughly enjoyed our meal ( although six in a booth is slightly tight!).

I has pork/duck rilette as a starter followed by a daube of beef and chocolate torte with Jaffa ice cream. Lovely. The beef was fabulous, tasty and tender. All others in the group were equally positive about their selections and the dinner was a great success.

A great restaurant. A return is very likely.

This was my first visit to this restaurant and I will definitely be back. Parking was easy, lots of metered parking close by with lots of spaces at lunchtime when we visited. The restaurant is underneath a church and has a great atmosphere. Service was friendly and the food was great. I ordered the salmon with fishcake main and rumbledethumps and roast vegetable sides. The salmon portion was very generous and tasted lovely. The sides were huge and definitely for sharing. Would recommend everyone have the rumbledethumps, it was lovely. I finished with the restaurants version of Eton mess - Berry Mess - which was delicious too. The bill was very reasonable given the quality of the food and the portion sizes.
