We recently stayed at this hotel during a tour of Scotland. The hotel was nice. The room was clean. The beds were terrible. Way to soft. They gave my wife a back ache. She wound up sleeping on the coach. The bathrooms were the bright spot. Nice shower and the sink was great. Nice and big with room to put your toiletries. Free Wi-Fi in the rooms. The rooms were adequate, nothing fancy. The lobby was probably the nicest part of the hotel. Easy walk to the shopping district. We paid extra and stayed in an executive room on our initial stay for two nights and one night in a regular room on our return to Glasgow. The executive room was the same size. It did have a refrigerator with free water and an Expresso machine. It supposedly had faster Wi-Fi, but I didn't notice the speed difference on my tablet. The hotel was definitely adequate if they change the beds. The beds made my back a little sore also.

Accor rated this hotel as a 4 star but in our view it is only a 3 star. We stayed in their top quality room (executive) and this was very basic, tired, terrible pillows however room was clean. Location was okay however in hindsight we may have stayed at the other Accor 3 star property (Mecure) which was closer to the CBD. The Novotel park is cheap but there are limited parks so get in early as it is first in.

Room Tip: book executive room only and away from their clunky slow lifts

Stayed here when my wife and I went to a show at the Kings Theatre. You can't get a better location for that, just around the corner. Plenty of bars and restaurants in the surrounding area and easily walkable into the city centre. There's limited parking which was handy but make sure you get there in plenty time to get a space.

The room was clean, spacious and had everything we needed. There was a bit of noise late on at night with people walking home from nights out but nothing more than you'd expect froma a city centre hotel. The staff were relatively helpful but we never really had much interaction with them.

The hotel is old but our room was big and comfortable. The breakfast was good, the only thing you need to book ahead of time in order to save money. The other problem was a little noisy during the morning because the people are talking even when they are passing from your room door.
Try to get low floor to use stairs because the elevator is congested in the morning and night.

Room Tip: Our room was a little noisy only in the morning because people are talking in the aisle but in gener...

This modern hotel is right in the city, walking distance from the main shopping areas. The rooms are basic, but clean, well stocked and well thought out. The breakfast was hearty and the room service was decent. Best of all however is the service from the staff, who simply could not be more accommodating. My son spilt milk all over a bed and it was cleaned in a jiffy with a smile. We were given a soft toy on arrival, which he loved. So much in fact, that when he lost it in Hong Kong, the hotel arranged to send us another one free of charge. Nothing was too much trouble for them and it made our stay. We will definitely go back again.

Room Tip: We were on floor 5 and had no problems.

Stayed here with my wife for 4 nights. The hotel is quite close to the centre (but is up a hill that is quite steep) and the staff were all very friendly and helpful.

Our room was large with a 3 seater sofa and a separate chair. The bed was huge and really comfortable. There were extra pillows in a cupboard (which we didn't need). The room was very well equipped (hair drier, iron + board etc). There were tea/coffee facilities but these were not replaced consistently. The bathroom, whilst functional, requires a complete re-design. The showers were fine and there was plenty of hot water but the bath plug had to be closed whilst showering in order to avoid trapping toes. The shower managed, somehow, to flood the bathroom floor every time we used it (missing seal on the screen, I think). The sink seemed to be designed principally to waste water. The sink taps are huge but the water comes out from the back - a small person may not be able to reach it! Drainage from both bath and sink was very slow.

Breakfast was excellent - cannot think of anything that they didn't have (with the possible exception of Lea & Perrins). We were part of a holiday group and service for evening meals was very slow and the food average. Bar service was slow and very pricey - £15 approx. for two (not very) large glasses of wine.

On the whole, a good hotel but a bit expensive, if you pay the full price. Would probably stay there again.

Room Tip: Ours was just a normal double, which was fine.
