Just returned from a night at The Carlton George-and will certainly be back !!!!
Rooms are lovely clean and bright, with everything you need -the free mini bar is a welcome added bonus!! We stayed in a Club room so had access to the lounge -it was great !!! so cosy and a wee white wine hit the spot after a hard days shopping !!!
The staff that we met where all lovely and helpful even letting us leave our cases so we could hit the shops !!
The only small negative thing could say was breakfast could have done to have been a wee bit hotter.

Room Tip: Club rooms are lovely

Really enjoyed the stay, good food, nice to have the minibar and executive lounge. Also appreciated breakfast in our room with no service charge. Also good to be able to vacate the hotel at noon - meant we were able to have a relaxed departure.

Room Tip: Look on the hotel website for special deal packages.

Just back from a weekend break with my sister and two girl friends. We were visiting the Food Fair.
The location of the hotel is great, short walk from Central station and very convenient for the shops and restaurants.
Rooms were more than adequate, very clean with attention to detail, everything we needed, the free mini bar was appreciated - although we didn't over indulge!!
Staff throughout were at all times very helpful and pleasant - nothing was too much trouble - we will be back!

We stayed over a weekend in October and were pleased to find it so close to Queen St station, shopping and a delightful church. Although we arrived early, our room was ready which was a bonus and at the end of our stay they kept our suitcases which was a real help.
Our bedroom was spacious and overlooked a side street, but no noise disturbance.Fresh looking bathroom, good 'bounce' in the carpet and unusual carpet lined skirting. We appreciated the tea/coffee,free soft drinks and lovely large bed.Towelling robes were available.
Breakfast on the seventh floor was fascinating, watching traffic and studying the rooftops.Food was good too.Poached eggs were lovely as was the full Scottish, with beautifully dry black pudding. All in all a good experience. Location was a real attraction.Staff were competent and responsive to our needs.

My friend and I stayed here for one night and could not fault it. Room was small but very clean and comfortable. Big bathroom and excellent shower. Later we visited the executive lounge where we were greeted with very friendly staff who cater to you very promptly and efficiently. Breakfast in the Windows restaurant was great and a great selection of hot and cold food, pastries and fruit juices.
Have stayed here on a number of occasions in the past and will be back again as its great value for money for the location and service.
