Ideal location right in the city centre. Check in / check out very efficient. Room very hot and dark due to location in the middle area of hotel. Room comfortable enough. Breakfast a real disappointment. Warm/cold hot plate. Had to ask for fried eggs. Complimentary in room bar good but it would be money better spent if the removed it and spent the money on the rooms. Overall experience good.

Enjoyed staying here for two nights on business. Nice clean modern room but with character. Nice pleasant breakfast room with good choice of breakfast and attentive friendly staff in the restaurant and at reception. Very helpful when booking in and out. Modern and clean bathroom and very comfy bed. Only down side I had a very warm room - it was too noisey outside to have the window open and although the aircon worked perfectly thank goodness it was very noisey so to be cool meant putting up with noise one way or the other but coped with it for 2 nights. would recommend for mid priced pleasant stay in the city centre - only a 5 min walk from Central Station or George Square. I will def stay again on business or pleasure if I get the chance as felt very at home there unlike some hotels.

Booked in to Carlton George in Glasgow on saturday 18th Aug.
Really helpful staff at reception.
Wanted a room at the back , high up as the front in over a very noisy pub that gets its bottles and waste collected VERY early in the morning.
I would come back to this hotel as it is clean and tidy AND right in the heart of a very fashionable Glasgow

Room Tip: get a room as high as possible and at the back

Great hotel...as an ex-pat Glaswegian returning for a Scottish holiday with my southern English compatriots, this hotel was my first choice for our night in Glasgow.
Great rooms, great price and the complimentary mini bar and executive lounge certainly added a great touch to the evening.

Right in the middle of the city and a great view over from the 7th floor.

If you're staying in "glesga", stay there.

On a business come pleasure trip my wife and I stayed at the Carlton George on Friday night. The room was exceptional with every amenity and a free mini bar ! Our evening meal was in the windows restaurant which was very very nice with a unique view over the city rooftops. My wife says the staff at reception were amongst the most helpful she had encountered and our only little gripe was the snappy chef at breakfast who we could only describe as rude but then again it would take more than him to spoil a lovely experience
