Nice hotel with good sized room that was remodeled. The wifi access must be purchased for 6pounds for a 24hour period. breakfast is in their restaurant on the top floor, good views of the city. Good variety for breakfast and pleasant staff. The underground station is at the end of the block, Queen Station for trains is on the opposite corner of the street. Easy to walk around town and close to restaurants and bars. only problem is that you get 1 towel and 1 hand towel, after asking the maid service provided more towels.

Great location, friendly staff. Stayed as part of a large group. George at reception is one of the most pleasant and helpful young persons I've come across in a such a long time. Hotel service, food and accommodation of a high standard. Really enjoyed our experience. A hidden gem in Glasgow..... Will stay again

Great location and basically a nice hotel. Friendly staff and a relaxed atmosphere. We spent 1 night here whilst attending a concert in the nearby Royal Concert hall. The room was reasonably quiet (with the aircon turned down low), clean and the bed comfortable. I suspect it was not one of the refurbished rooms but it was comfortable nonetheless. The breakfast was good with a wide choice beyond the obligatory fry-up. A few minor niggles, one of which was that despite the fact the room was booked as a double there was only 1 set of towels in it and we had to ask twice to get a second set. Also, I wish that I had realised that I could put my car into Buchanan Galleries car park for £10 per 24 hours when I had made the booking - would be worth putting this on the confirmation.

After a pretty poor stay at the Jury's Inn I took a friends recommendation to stay here. Very glad I did!

Visited the hotel recently with 9 friends for my hen night, upon arrival the very abrupt receptionist advised we would have to pay a deposit of £50 per room plus the advised room rate. I explained that this would not be possible and that i had not been advised of this when making the booking. Duty Manager advised us that this was standard procedure and as a good will gesture she would only take £25 per room and it would be returned the next day after she had checked the rooms. I was absolutely disgusted at this! After being in our rooms for only a short time again the duty manager made an appearance and asked that we keep the noise to a minimum, again i was absolutely disgusted at this as she came into a room where 4 women of 40+ age were talking. The rest of the staff were excellent and nothing was a problem, however Avril the duty manager and Sylvia the receptionist left a lot to be desired and a course in customer service wouldnt go a miss. The rooms were comfortable and the location was excellent. I would recommend this hotel on that basis but please remember not to make a noise!

We have booked this hotel maily because of the favourable reviews on this very site and also close proximity to Queen Street Station. Let me put it this way: if you don't mind sleeping in a small, dusty, dark, depressing room with window facing a dark yard, with constant and EXTREMELY loud noise of aircondition machines which would not stop even when we closed the window, and with the room so hot you had two choices: put the aircon on and have a gale force wind right in your face as you try to sleep, or sweat all night long, well then this is a place for you.

The whole hotel looks shabby, the corridors smell of dust and are as hot as the London Tube, the cleaning service is a joke: as I sat down in a chair in our room there were some hair pins left in ti together with lots of someone elses hair! The linnen and towels were disgusting: there were holes in the linnen everywhere, dark stains, towels were grey, torn, old enough to have seen a good deal of the 70'.
We have been coming to Scotland for years now and have stayed all over the country from Isla to Orkneys, let me tell you that even a smallest B&B in the countryside has better standard than this for half the price. The people simply wouldn't imagine putting such disgusting towels or linnen out for their guests.

We would like to point out that the reception staff were very friendly and helpful, we know that this state of the property is not their fault but the managements. Invest in new linnen and towels and get a better cleaners or give up two stars. The way the rooms present themselves now is a disgrace.

My girlfriend and I stayed overnight on the way into the Trossachs and this hotel was a great find. The room was fantastic, the service was great, the breakfast enjoyable in the top-floor restaurant and the hotel bang in the centre of Glasgow.
