“Lovely hotel for night out with friends”
Reviewed June 27, 2013

My friends and I opted for the Hilton for a birthday weekend in Glasgow, got a great deal for 4 of us to stay and had all the facilities we were looking for.

Our room was not ready when we arrived to check in at 3pm however the reception were very apologetic and gave us complimentary drinks in the bar so was not a problem.

As we were clearly celebrating (birthday cards and presents) the bar staff brought us a further complimentary round of drinks - would be rude not to!

As we were travelling as a party they put us in rooms directly opposite which was great for dashing between each others rooms to try on outfits :)

Only letdown was that the pool was very busy and so we could not get in and instead had to go on a waiting list. We only had to wait about 20-30 minutes but might have been good to know when we were checking in as we could have gone and put ourselves on waiting list before getting changed. Not enough seating around pool but ok.

Would stay again.

Room Tip: If you are travelling as a party put a request on your booking to have rooms next to each other. Al...

We had a good night at the Hilton. There was only one problem we got in to our room and our daughter went behind the curtains and there was snot all over the curtains we had to move room but after that we were fine we had a great sleep as well. Although we were told that we could upgrade to an executive room when we turned up with our daughter we were told that this was not available to us as it was for couples only, despite the fact that last time we were in the executive room there were children in the lounge

Good hotel, excellent service and staff. Bar food and facilities are good. Restaurant closes at 10, even on the weekend.
Reasonable city centre location - 15-20 min walk or a short cab ride from main shopping area.
Only one slip up when hotel didn't pickup my breakfast order, everything else was great!

Standard business hotel. Room spacious and clean. Wi Fi available free in lobby but had to pay for access in room. Did not eat here. Location tricky if travelling on foot as near to a duel carriageway and pedestrian access not easy.
Staff helpful when asked for information.

All fine in general. Nice rooms, quite, great view, very clean. Breakfast buffet excellent and all stuff very friendly and willing to help you. The lobby is a bit boring and I would prefer a restaurant on top not a windowless one at the 2nd floor.

As with most Hiltons food/drink is on the pricey side. However, the quality was very good.

The meal at the function was excellent for mass catered food and i would recommend this hotel for functions.

The staff were all very helpful and the room immaculate.
