Check in was a bit of a mix up, I had to ASK for the upgrade due to me because of hhonors tier level which is just bad customer service as it is as though you're asking for something for nothing - A 5 star Hilton in Scotland's second city should know better!

I didn't really like the new interior although its a matter of taste, it's very bright and open. I'm sure it's a look that will settle in well.

A fairly pleasant stay all round, the free booze at cocktail hour in the lounge is always appreciated.

The rooms are always absolutely spotless, It's like they redecorate every day. Public areas too, are very clean.

Breakfast was exceptional, don't miss out on the spectacular Haggis.

Room Tip: Try the Haggis at breakfast and ask for available upgrades, don't be shy - Shy bairns get nowt!

my husband and i spent the weekend at the Hilton Glasgow, lovely hotel, staff really nice especially the doormen, the only downside was the restaurant, not the food but the length of time it takes to get it, we ordered drinks which never arrived until my husband complained which they gave to us complimentary, our first course arrived after 40 mins and was cold but i was that hungry by now that i ate it without saying a word, main course came 20mins after finishing our first, when waiter came to take dishes away we said we would like to see sweet menu but 35 mins later it still hadn't come so we paid bill and left, breakfast was the same no bowls for cereal until asked for them , same with white bread, all in all our stay was great and food really good but the faults were minor would definately return

My wife and I had an overnight stay at the Glasgow Hilton on 12th October to celebrate her birthday. We arrived at the Hilton at 12 noon which was 3 hours before check in time with the intention to leave our luggage and head out into Glasgow City Centre for some lunch. On arrival at reception we were told our room was actually ready and we could check in there and then. Really impressed by this. Rachael on the reception desk was fantastic, told us all we needed to know about the hotel and all the facilities and granted our standby upgrade to one of the executive rooms on the 20th floor which included access to the executive lounge with complimentary drinks in the evening and breakfast the following morning. Definitely worth the extra £35.

Our room was located on the top (20th Floor) and had amazing westerly views. Our room was really nice and looked as if it had recently been upgraded with stylish furniture and décor and a fabulous king size bed. Even though our room was located on the same side of the M8 motorway we could not hear any traffic noise. After being out in Glasgow for the afternoon my wife was pleasantly surprised to return to find some chocolates in our room with a happy birthday message (nice touch).

The hotel its self was really nice, tastefully decorated throughout and the lobby and bar areas on the ground floor were very classy. All the staff we met were all really friendly and approachable. There is a taxi rank outside the hotel too so never a wait to get a cab into town.

My only negative comment about the hotel is the executive lounge, it lacked any atmosphere and there is no music (only a TV showing the news) and there are no windows. There was also a poor selection of food in the evenings; it felt very much like an airport lounge. It’s a shame they don’t have the executive lounge on one of the executive floors taking in the amazing views the hotel has to offer.

I have stayed at a few Hilton Hotels in the past and my favourite used to be the Deansgate Hilton in Manchester but that has now been superseded with the Glasgow Hilton. Will definitely be back! :-)

Room Tip: Executive Rooms on Floors 18-20 have the best views!

We spent 5 nights in the hotel. It's exterior and interior and the rooms look like any Hilton: perfectly adequate and nothing to get, negatively or positively, excited about.
What makes this hotel stand out in general and among Hiltons is its service level. Porters, receptionists, waiters, maitre d's, chambermaids were evidently enjoying to serve and to make guests feel welcome.
Friendliness may well be common among Glaswegians. However, Hilton Glasgow is among the very best we ever experienced.
IT CAN BE DONE!

Room Tip: The top floors are probably better as they are called executive. We had a standard room. The motorwa...

When I found out I was booked in a Hilton by my travel agent, I was a little sceptical after my stay at the Hilton Edinburgh Airport almost exactly a year ago (see review) which was not great - however, this hotel was completely different. It's got an upbeat vibe, and the staff were welcoming, efficient and friendly from start to finish, Check-in was quick, and my 7th floor room easy to find. Clean, spacious room, well appointed, decent bathroom. Air conditioning was not too fierce, easy to control. The bar was open and airy, with a good selection. Did not eat an evening meal there, but breakfast was good, with a wide selection, and an automatic pancake machine. Checkout swift also. There is a large basement car park, which looks expensive at first glance (£17 overnight), however if you are a resident and pay on checkout, this drops to £10. Struggling to find a complaint - my only one would be that the lighting in my room was very dim (I know they are never bright) - but this one did try my ageing eyesight :) Will use again without hesitation.
By the way - the location is excellent - okay, it's right by a road intersection, but only a couple of minutes walk into the thick of the city - and it IS close to the railway station.

Room Tip: Higher the better for view.

Enjoyed a 2 night mid-week break with family during October holidays, excellent leisure facilities and kids reckon the best hotel breakfast ever! Good location, helpful staff, free parking would have been nice tho,and only wi-fi free in the lobby,£14.99 in room for 24 hours is a bit steep.
