Not great for sustainable transportation. We caught a train to Glasgow Central and thougt the hotel was a few minutes away in fact it fronts the motorway and is difficult to get to on foot. Probably best if you get a taxi the short distance to the hotel which is not so great for the environment.

The staff are as friendly and helpful as the other reviews suggest. We used the pool and leisure facilties which were also good. Our room was quite although we booked a triple room and there was one double bed and a rather uncomfortable foldaway bed. Ok for one night but an uncomfortable nights sleep for the person who gets the foldaway bed. I had expected better for a Hilton.

Room Tip: AVoid booking a triple room if you do ask for beds rather than foldaway beds.

Dear TravellerB28,

Thank you for taking the time to review your stay at Hilton Glasgow.

It’s great to hear you found our staff to be friendly and helpful and enjoyed our leisure facilities.

I have noted your comments regarding your journey to the hotel from the train station.

Hilton Glasgow offer twin and double guest rooms, where an additional bed is requested in these rooms we do offer a foldaway bed however we do advise that these are suitable for children.

We do hope you will choose to come and stay with us again in the near future and please ask about our double double guest rooms which offer two queen double beds.

Kind regards,

Lisa

Stayed at this hotel while the renovations were taking place (one lift was completely out of bounds and part of the ground floor was not accessible). Initial room was a little disappointing but thanks to the lovely reception staff we were upgraded to a fantastic top floor balcony room with the best views over the city. It is worth paying for an executive room as it includes access to the lounge. Although the hotel is a little bit away from the shopping area of the city it only takes a few minutes in a taxi or about 20 minutes walking. The hotel has easy access to the motorway.

Room Tip: Worth paying for lounge access and requesting a room on the higher floors

This is a big hotel. I was on floor 12 and there were a few more beyond me. The Queen room was very quiet, large and pleasantly decorated/furnished. The staff were polite and smiled a lot. The bed was huge and comfortable.

I had the breakfast which was varied and tasty. A big test for me is the quality of the bacon and this was all cooked to perfection. Very crisp. The toaster actually worked to toast the bread. And the grapefruit juice tasted fresh.

My only issue was trusting my phone to tell me where the place is, having walked from the station. William Street is one of those old streets that's been cut in half by a massive dual carriageway. I crossed over and found myself on the wrong William Street. But then turned round and saw the Hilton towering over the other side of the dual carriageway.

If in Glasgow again I'd have no hesitation in returning to this hotel.

The staff was A-1 from the door man to the honors desk. Great lobby &lobby bar with 4 PC's for guest use. Very nicely appointed large room with king bed and a tv that fits the room unlike many other hotels. We did the breakfast package which was worth the money in price and quality. From Bloody Mary's to a wonderful topping on the oatmeal. Excellent offering! Convenient pay parking under the hotel at £ 10.

Room Tip: Breakfast included.

Have stayed here on a couple of occasions when i get a good deal on it. Had booked for 2 nights but only stayed one as we decided to come back up the road early. Receptionist was very concerned when we said we were checking our early incase there was something wrong, when we explained she waived the charge for parking. No complaints as usual rooms nice and staff nicer.
