“Smokers United”

As one of a rare breed these days this hotel was perfect. Although on the top floor this hotel has rooms that you are allowed to smoke in.
Good rooms with everything you could want including a small dining table and chairs.
If you want breakfast this tends to be expensive but the plus points make up for this.

Friendly and helpful staff, spacious room, free wifi, clean and well appointed for the price, free parking, on a direct bus route to the city centre. Very good value for money - would definitely stay again.

I was booked into this hotel for three nights but took one look at my room and decided to check out the very next morning. The only positive was that the reception staff showed genuine concern when I asked about their cancellation policy and informed them of my intention to leave.
The room was small and crammed into the space was a double bed and a bunk bed. This would have been fine had I requested a family room, although I don't know how a family could possibly fit into such a small area. The Hotel was aware that this booking was for a double room with single occupancy. The Hotel's corridors leading to the rooms was very dark and smelly with stained carpet. Also the walls/floor of the rooms seemed to be very thin. It sounded as if a family of elephants were in the room above mine as I could hear every footstep. Even more unpleasant was the fact that every time someone used the toilet it could be heard- this is in reference to what was going into the toilet, not the toilet flushing!!!
The other negative was the Hotel's vicinity. As a lone traveller there wasn't anything nearby!!
This Hotel was definitely overpriced for such inadequate facilities. The rate of £110 is what I would have expected to pay for a central hotel, and that cost didn't even include breakfast.
I definitely wouldn't stay here again and wouldn't recommend it either.

Having checked out of another local ...ish hotel myself and a work collegue managed to book the last 2 rooms available in this hotel..... 1 of which was right next to the lift and I was warned that it might be noisy.....however I didn't hear a thing all night or in the morning.....well apart from the heavy rain we had through the night......so no complaints there......breakfast was lovely too.....lots to choose from aswell as it was an all you can eat Buffet breakfast which always go down well!! It was a pleasure to stay in this hotel and I would defiantly stay here again......the receptionist was very helpful to, nothing was too much bother for her.....think here name was Laura.

Booked a long weekend here as we travelled up for rugby through in Edinburgh so much cheaper to stay in Glasgow and travel through. Staff were friendly enough on check-in and departure. Didn't use the restaurant or the bar as had previous poor experiences so know where to go for eating out. Room was clean enough though slightly dated. Carpets could do with a good shampoo. Bonus of the hotel was the free parking. There was a wedding on the Friday night but to be honest, I hardly heard a thing (we were on the 3rd floor). Don't know why someone complained about the Air Conditioning being turned on as the hotel rooms don't have it. For what we paid for we got value for money. Only problem is when you book online and they say they've deducted the money from your account, double check as they didn't deduct mine till the day I arrived at the hotel (had booked one month before!)

the service was terrible we were ignored because there was a wedding on, we had to eat dinner whilst staff hoovered dining room, £18.50 for a rib eye steak meal that had 6 chips, 4 onion rings, 1/2 a tomato and a small tub of sauce. ordered sandwiches at night to be sent to room 45mins later, husband had to go get them himself. room was on 4th floor but didnt get to sleep until 1am due to noise from wedding then was woken at 7am with air conditioning, will never stay again

Room Tip: when booking at the pond ask if there is any functions on

We chose this hotel as wanted to stay in the west end and also needed somewhere with free parking so this fitted the bill. We were pleasantly surprised - the rooms were modern, nicely decorated, a good size and had everything we needed.

The staff were very friendly indeed and the free drink at the bar in exchange for our contact details was a nice touch. The hotel is in a good location - close enough to walk to the west end and good public transport links.

Will definitely stay here again the next time I'm looking for somewhere to stay for the night in Glasgow
