This is my 3rd time eating at this restaurant - as usual the portions were huge and the food was of the highest quality. I will be returning then next time I visit Glasgow!

Black Sheep Bistro is a wonderful spot. As others have mentioned it is not large, about 25 covers. It is not necessarily "haute cuisine" , but it sure is delicious. They seem to serve a sort of modern Scottish cuisine - including haggis in a couple of preparations. But if you are not looking for haggis, don't be scared off. I had the Venison and it was outstanding. The servers are incredibly friendly and helpful, the prices quite reasonable, and the overall experience a special one. I will certainly be returning on my next trip to Glasgow.

Just visited the black sheep bistro for my birthday dinner with my husband and friends was a lovely atmosphere and the staff were lovely.
We all had starters which maybe we should have stuck to just mains and dessert as the portions are a good size, we shared the dessert platter and it was brilliant next time I would get my own dessert though lol

Overall was a great night with a great meal

I choose The Black Sheep due to its excellent reviews here on TA.
We really liked the place, it was very homely.
My friend had the red wine, and my other had the white white, i stuck to Peroni.
Drink: The red wine drinker was far from satisfied, i smelt it, it was like vinegar, So, we had to get that changed - without any hassles.
Starters: Two of us choose the lentil soup with crusty bread. My one was really nice, sadly, my friends one had a long dark hair in it........after a word with the waitress, who was very apologetic and changed it, assuring us, the chef has not got her hair in the way. My soup was fine, but i think once my friend got the soup back, it sort of put her off from finishing hers,
Mains: 2 of us had macaroni and cheese (very very cheesy) with chips, and one had lasagne with hair, Yes - ANOTHER hair, She got that renewed, also she asked with it without so much herbs on top, which wasn't an issue. Again, waitress was quite shocked and apologetic about the 2nd hair being found. My friend on the macaroni wasn't to keen on her dish, she didn't like the cheese. By this time i was put off, looking to see if i had any stray hairs in my dish,
Desert: Two of us shared the trio consisting of cheese cake, mini puff candy and the banoffe, and my friend had the large version of banoffe, The cheesecake wasn't great, the puff candy dish was nice, and the banoffe wasnt bad.
Sadly, the hair thing ruined it from the start, and made it worse by the main.
I thought i would love the Black Sheep Bistro, I don't think I'll be back in a hurry.....Shame.
On the bill: "Apologies - drinks on the house" A bonus. I guess.

This is a wee gem of a restaurant! Friendly service, great, wholesome, tasty food in pleasant surroundings. I loved the way they did the dessert, fantastic for someone like me who likes a taste of what is on offer, they had no problem in ordering one dessert and two spoons! Definitely worth a visit with no doubt that you'll be back!
