The staff were very friendly and food was excellent. I chose the Haggis, Neeps and Tatties and whilst it seemed a little plainer than what other people were having around the restaurant the taste was fantastic. Whisky cream sauce definitely complemented the filling and satisfying fare. Desserts were a delight too - cheese cake and meringue+ice cream were my favourites from the trio of mini desserts that I opted for. A very satisfied customer.

Finally got to visit Black Sheep Bistro and the meal was amazing. Party of 3, so much to choose from. All had starters, Lentil Soup and it was piping hot, always a good sign also, the butter was not frozen in its little packets, another plus. We had the following mains. Balmoral Chicken, Sunday Roast Beef and Lasagne. Plates full to the brim. All struggled to finish. We shared the mini desserts, seven in total, far too much for us but we could not resist. We will visit this bistro again in the new year. Came out full and stuffed, Some soft drinks, water and ales. Bill came to £77 plus, it was worth the money. This was one of the best meals i have sat down to this year and would recommend a visit to try out. Place was full, need to book a table in advance.

I was really impressed by the Black Sheep on a number of levels. The staff are extremely welcoming and friendly, the atmosphere is fun, the food is excellent with a good choice and it is not over expensive.
I had the steak pie main which was very tasty, but the choice was wide. The selection of desserts was too much for our party and tasty a they all were, we were defeated.
In an age where some establishments live on pretention, this is a real restaurant, serving real food.
